Just don't expect to get technical – Wonderful unit great for the home office. But the Breville HOME CONNECT app is appalling. Firstly connecting to the wifi is pathetic and virtually impossible, if you can even see the flashing wifi icon then it times out before connection and please, 2.4 gh only really. Next- well just give up use the remote thats about the best advise i can give. Show details

Has a mind of its own and is mostly frustrating to use – Bought this as a stop-gap for my place until a permanent heater was installed - and I really can't recommend it. As far as I'm concerned, a product like this should be easy to use: turn it on, set the temperature, and it will take care of the rest. You need to connect it to the wifi, which (after having to do several times) always differs in the… Read more

amount of time it takes to do. You have to set the great temp on your phone to high (35 degrees), otherwise the default is 25. It will reset/revert back to default somewhat randomly, so you'll need to check this on your phone periodically. It will also, somewhat randomly, turn itself off. Mine will do it a few times in a row, after being on for a minute, then without doing anything - stay on for hours. I clean the filter periodically - it just seems to do what it wants when it wants.

What I dislike most about this is that it's high maintenance, and I can't just turn it on, trust it to do its job and forget about it. You have to keep an eye on it and I'd rather spend my time doing other things. It heats reasonably, but like I said - takes a bit of supervision to get there. What's great is being able to turn it on whilst I'm still in bed so it can get to work warming the place before I'm up, but that doesn't outweigh the fickle nature of what I think is an average product

Three appliances in one but still just as powerful – For background, I own this purifier + a TruSens purifier and I’m a retail salesperson who sells appliances incl. air purifiers such as this one, I need to read product manuals and know everything about products and features to do my job. I bought this purifier a few weeks ago when it was on sale down from $349 to $299AUD which was further… Read more

discounted (see disclaimer). I chose this model mostly because of the heating/cooling functions which are close to the Dyson purifier.

I’ll start with the positives. The heating is efficient and I’m very happy the fan cover gets slightly warm but not hot/enough to burn so my toddler won’t hurt themselves if they somehow touch it. I personally have no issue with the cooling function not being powerful enough, but I’ve used it for less than an hour each time as it’s winter so I don’t know if problems occur when running the cooling longer. The display shows the room temperature and air quality index with different colours for each quality level - my air is low quality and knowing the exact value has improved my health because I know if I need precautions.

The purifier does have annoying flaws, but note that my first issue is likely thanks to my internet. I followed the instructions for pairing with the Breville Home app and tried both the methods (bluetooth + manual wifi) but could not pair it after 15+ attempts, on both my 2.4 and 5GhZ networks. The purifier is quite loud, to the point where you can’t hear the TV in the room. The oscillation makes a dull click sound when turns fully to one side. The touch panel is annoying and sometimes takes too long to respond, so you touch the on button and nothing happens, then it will turn on exactly when you try to press it again making it shut off. It’s irritating but the seperate remote has no worries.

I had an issue with the purifier shutting off only after a few minutes of use, but I think it’s because I set a temperature for the purifier to reach and after it does/after a certain time of that temp the machine shuts off. It’s annoying but the AirRounder usually works perfectly after you turn it on again.

People keep having an issue with the plastic wrap on the filter inside. Read the manual? This isn’t a fault, and Breville hasn’t failed to inform their customers about it. One of the first pages in the manual states clearly that the plastic is there and needs to be removed before the purifier is run. Would you rather the filter be opened so it’s full of dust/bacteria/fumes from the warehouse and delivery trucks? Would you buy a filter on its own that isn’t in any packaging, or get the one with something to prevent most external contaminants?

It isn’t completely perfect but the issues it has are not going to kill me to just deal with. It is well made, multifunctional and has definitely helped the whole family improve their respiratory health through COVID, influenza type B, infections and the many fires in our area

*DISCLAIMER* I received a lower price than what retailers can sell to the public, my workplace has a discounted staff price on all items that is determined by the item manufacturers, but I bought this item on my own research and the discount did not influence my purchase or my opinions on it

Is it working? – The device does not run continuously over night, it seems to shut off after a period of time (maybe 7 hours?). The device comes with a night mode and manual says will run continuously if timer is off, and yet every single night it turns off at some point and my daughter's room is freezing. We have already returned one unit, and second one is the same so expect we will have to return and try another brand. Show details

Great unit. 8.5/10 – After 1 hour of operation you can tell that the air is indeed cleaner. Setting up was fairly easy and the fan mode is decent enough. It's a little bit on the noisy side at about 55db infront of the unit. The heater works really well, and it has a light sensor so the all the leds turn off when you switch off the light. Show details

Good machine – Like another reviewer said. I had to remove the plastic wrapping from the already installed filter before using the purifier. The instructions don't tell you this. I discovered this on the second day thanks to the other reviewer that mentioned this. Show details

Bit the bullet – **EDIT** I purchased this device during winter where the heat feature was great however to my disappointment the cooling feature was horrible! My Kmart pedestal fan worked much better and stronger. The cooling feature on the breville was close to non existent… weak even up close and very loud. Absolute waste of money. Breville customer service… Read more

won’t do anything about it either so I now have wasted a few hundreds on something I will not use…

Purifying option can only be used whilst fan or heating is on too….. also does not clean the air as well as my Philips purifier

bit the bullet and purchased the AirRounder without seeing any reviews. Only had it for a few days but I’m still impressed. Temperature is adjustable. App is easy to use. Magnetic remote is handy. Wide spread fan/heat.

The only negative thing I have to say is that it was lacking clear instructions. Make sure you remove the plastic around the filter that’s inside the machine before turning it on!! Also had issues with connecting the device to the app. Just had to reset the device a few times and needed some patience.

Overall I think this is an affordable dupe from the Dyson
