Great Bread Maker , but take care when unit is placed on table-top or kitchen benchtop – Bought this Bread Maker to replace a Panasonic unit which ceased to function correctly [ after nearly 25 years use ] ,...have used this appliance weekly , but usually for the "Express " 900 gram loaf [ 1 hour 55 minutes , slow bake takes 3 hours 25 minutes ! ] Always get a good result , only criticism is that if placed on table top or kitchen… Read more
benchtop whilst in operation , the kneading action causes the appliance to move about , so it is possible for unit to drop off table onto floor , so I place it on a thick timber board on floor in case .
Lasted 14 months – Very disappointed. 2 months out of warranty and it has stopped working. I'll be taking this back to David Jones, I don't believe this meets consumer guarantee legislation as it is not fit for purpose and is not of acceptable quality based on it's price when compared to similar products. So Disappointing Waste of Money – Did not live up to expectations. Warranty period passed. Bread maker dead. Would not buy Breville again, and will go back to buying second hand which have always lasted longer than this did. Show details
They have ruined the Breville bread maker – We have made bread in a bread maker almost daily for 28 years, for the last 15 years we have used Breville bread makers, they last about three years so we have had a few Breville bread makers. Recently our old one died and we had to get a replacement, so we bought a Breville LBM200. We made our first loaf and it was a pale little round bottom bun,… Read more
that was heavy and very disappointing. After many trials and many failures, the Breville bread maker was returned to the shop. Breville have totally lost the plot, they have taken a perfectly good bread maker and ruined it, why did they need to change the loaf pan, Breville used to make a good flat based loaf, now the new shape pan makes a tiny rounded bottom bun, which is a pale under cooked loaf no matter how dark the setting is, and the loaves are always small and heavy. After using a Breville bread maker for at least 15 years, and being a loyal customer, the new bread makers are so bad we will never buy another Breville bread maker again.
I don't buy bread anymore – not having used a bread machine it was fun experimenting, the controls do whatever you want them to do. I bought Lauke sourdough bread mix 2.4 and used 400 gm of the mix which gives 6 loaves per box. the water to bread mix is 1.4285 mls, and by adding an extra 3 mls am baking the best bread ever. because the dough has the extra liquid the paddle hole is much smaller. thanks breville Show details
Unhappy purchaser – Very noisy. Bread didn’t brown even on darkest setting. Not getting much action from anyone so replaced it with another brand which I love. It’s sitting in a box in my spare room!!
A dough maker not a bread baker – The bread maker doesn't bake the bread only makes the dough. The heating element doesn't get hot enough to bake. My old model lasted a lot longer than this newly purchased one.
Not good – Bought this model as my previous Breville “Ultimate Bakers Oven” model BB400 died after 20 years..........so disappointed with the new one I bought, had it for 10 days before returning it. Cooked 4 loaves in it...so frustrating, loaves not cooked properly, paddle would not come out of tin therefore gouging huge hole in bottom of loaf.......perhaps I just got a lemon so going to try another model. Works beautifully every time! – I have made numerous loaves including with use of the fruit and nut dispenser and the breads are lovely. They are not dense like bread makers of old, but perfectly weighted. Would be good to have some more recipes but assume they are available on the net. Highly recommend. Show details
Breville LBM 200 – I have made about 20 loaves, BUT, the paddle doesn't release from the holder so that a chunk is torn out of the bottom of the loaf each time...I hate this machine to the point of throwing it away, I am on this forum to find a better breadmaker... Show details
Really nice bread – Have had this bread maker for a few months now. I’ve made white bread and grain bread and pizza dough from the recipe booklet. All have worked perfectly. My gripes are 1. It’s noisy! You can’t really set it to start in the early hours, well I did once and woke up with a fright at the noise. I can lock it in the pantry to lessen the noise but not… Read more
convenient and I worry about the heat and humidity in my pantry.
2. It moves around on the bench a lot. Unfortunately last time it danced right off the bench and onto the floor breaking the lid off. When you look at the underside of the machine there are tiny suction caps- these are useless. Invest in a non slip mat or goodbye to your machine.
my second breville bread baker – this is my second bread baker, my last breville lasted me just over 10 years allowing me to make fresh bread many times. The controls are super easy to use (even better once you've read the instruction booklet:) )I have just switched my new helper on and it's baking a continental loaf for me as i write. my home has a beautiful aroma of baking… Read more
bread right now :)
The loaves of bread that were made turned out perfectly. The continental loaf was yum, The gluten free receipe was great and worked well and the banana bread was a triumph too. I am so glad I invested in Breville The Bread Maker LBM200
First try ands brilliant low carb loaf. Great so far – Very simple to use but follow the instruction. Used a ready made packet from Woolies, next will be a fruit loaf, I was a bit concerned that it wouldn't start but the pre heat was activated Show details
Absolutely love this bread maker! – The only thing better than the smell of bread cooking is fresh banana bread cooking. The Bread Maker from Breville makes cooking bread super easy and without fuss and minimal mess. You don’t need cooking skills or experience to make delicious fresh bread, just follow the simple instructions. The unit has a handy little dispenser that will release… Read more
fruit and nuts at the right time. It has a delayed start timer so you can wake up to fresh bread but frankly this machine is too noisy for this to be practical. The only cons with this product is that it’s quite noisy. Also the fruit and nut dispenser needs to cleaned every time even when not used. The other problem is that the suction cups on the feet are inadequate and the unit tends to creep across the bench during the kneading process.
