Horrible - avoid buying – Received as a gift for Christmas 2020. Pancakes stuck even on first use. They come out flat & dense. Were more like crap thickness than light puffy pancakes. After the failure with this unit, I Used the same leftover pancake batter in a competitor maker and got light fluffy pancake about 1.5 cms high. So it is definitely the crappy breville product and not mixture. Do not buy this product. Show details

12 months ago (I was foolish enough to not report this initially as I believed I could one day cook the perfect pancakes with this terrible appliance). To add insult to injury, the customer service person said she was sorry I was unhappy with "some aspects"!! Seriously? It doesn't work!!! That's all aspects!!!. Don't waste your money. I will no longer be buying ANY Breville products. Terrible service.

Terrible machine and a refund would be appreciated – I am so disappointed that I bought this equipment . Have tried every which to cook pancakes and nothing has worked. I'll never use a pan again!!! – I will never make pancakes any other way now. 4 minutes for 4 pancakes is good for me. This machine makes Sunday breakfast a breeze with it's easy to use design and easy to clean non-stick surface. Starts to stick after a few uses – Was great the first couple of times but now starts to stick and had become unusable, so we have stopped using it....seems to be a common problem. It’s a shame as was very good the first couple of times. Show details

Worked twice but now everything sticks – Worked great the first time we bought it. Since then, every effort to make pancakes just results in them sticking to the top and bottom of machine. We end up with pancakes torn in half with the tops needing to be scraped off the machine. Only way to get it to work is to season every time with vegetable oil. and shreds the pancake. Used store bought, homemade even recipe from the included book. All get stuck. So much for the “special non stick coating” Takes ages to heat up, randomly switches back to preheat mode if you take to long to add the batter and is just a confusing control scheme.

Great addition – Being a large family and making pancakes or waffles this was a great addition to our kitchen appliances. The advantage of this item, is it makes 4 perfect sized pancakes. Done within 2 minutes and ready for the next lot. You can easily feed the family a lot quicker. The choice also is that it can be a versatile appliance. Not only can you make pancakes or potato rosti you can also make large cookies. Evenly cooked thru , hassle free.
