Worked twice but now everything sticks
Worked great the first time we bought it. Since then, every effort to make pancakes just results in them sticking to the top and bottom of machine. We end up with pancakes torn in half with the tops needing to be scraped off the machine. Only way to get it to work is to season every time with vegetable oil. And even then 70% of the time it sticks and shreds the pancake. Used store bought, homemade even recipe from the included book. All get stuck. So much for the “special non stick coating”
Takes ages to heat up, randomly switches back to preheat mode if you take to long to add the batter and is just a confusing control scheme.

I love this breville quick stack, so easy to make pancakes quick, very easy to clean. Wish i knew about this ages ago, will never go back to the old way of making pancakes again. Highly recommend
Wonderful pancakes first try ,it makes 4 at a time so great when you have a few kids waiting for food as it only takes 2 mins .I did have a problem with the product out of the box but it was replaced within a week by breville when contacted
Being a large family and making pancakes or waffles this was a great addition to our kitchen appliances. The advantage of this item, is it makes 4 perfect sized pancakes. Done within 2 minutes and ready for the next lot. You can easily feed the family a lot quicker. The choice also is that it can be a versatile appliance. Not only can you make pancakes or potato rosti you can also make large cookies. Evenly cooked thru , hassle free.
Questions & Answers
Why do my pancakes always stick to the machine and tear in half every single time I’ve used it? Others have had the same problem, see above reviews.
Is this a specific fault of some machines? I gave up trying even after seasoning the “non stick” plates. It currently lives in it’s box languishing in some back corner of my kitchen cupboard. Much easier and less waste cooking my pancakes the old fashioned way.
We purchased this last xmas and to date have not been able to get a decent pancake from it at all! No matter the batter recipe we use, the pancakes come out looking golden and yummy but they are tuff to eat and are very dense (sometimes not cooked properly) in the centre.
What are we doing wrong?
I found you have to use the one third of a cup that it says to use and make you don't use more than it says even though it looks a little under as it will puff up and use a wet batter rather than a thick one
