Easiyo Yogurt Maker

Had the older Easiyo containers they worked perfectly. They were marked at the water levels required making it easy. Unfortunately, it broke due to wear and tear. So purchased a new one. It often doesn’t work, even with trying the water levels and yogurt mix. There’s no clear indication on the new containers. Making it difficult, wasteful. Anyone… Read more
with visual issues even harder. Or in country or remote areas hoping to buy in bulk which was useful previously. I note on the website they’ve tried to add checking water. Water quality isn’t the issue, especially for the container it goes into to set. You don’t need quality, you need quantity. You’d be better to buy yoghurt, freeze and mark it for long term, and easy use from the shops.
I don't know how anyone is getting these mixes to set because I tried 3 times and the mix stayed liquified. Not wasting any more. Just a waste of my hard-earned money. Contacted the company and they said they would replace the 3 packets of mix I lost but have heard nothing from them. They said they would be restocked in June but it's now almost the end of June and nothing. Waste of money. Show details
Home-made yoghurt so easy to make! – Never knew it is that easy to make my own yoghurt! It is fun, exciting and yummy (creamy). I love my home-made yoghurt which taste so different as compared to commercial (I guess preservatives added). I strongly recommend you to try :)

Love it AND the yoghurt MY Easiyo and I create – I have been making my own Greek style yoghurt for nearly 20 years. I had the first version of this product, which I have recently found no longer had a good seal and stopped setting the yoghurt. I luckily found the more compact Easiyo on special 1/2 price at Coles and grabbed one because this seemingly simple container is an essential in my… Read more
collection of kitchen STUFF.
Only one container inside which was a little disappointing as the old one had two, but not a deal breaker in my opinion and I believe you can get another from Easiyo distributor direct for a few dollars. We all know how much grocery items have increased in the last year or so and if your a bigger yoghurt eater or your family is, this can make a huge difference, more so when the sachets are also on special and the variety’s are now much better as well. The whole process of making a litre of yoghurt takes around 8 hours to set and then pop into the fridge to chill, which will then set even better. I grabbed a heap of new varieties a couple of days ago, some also discounted between $4 and $4.50. Usually always available at Coles and Woolworths. A new one which I am looking forward to making is Greek style salted caramel. But there is low sugar, no sugar, various fruit varieties , Manuka honey to name just a few. Love my Easiyo because it is just that Easy and economical and fresh from the day I make it.
This could not be easier to use or more delicious – I read reviews where people had problems and this gave me the false impression it was going to be complicated so I did some research before making mine. The research took me about 3 mins as there is nothing to it, I did read the longer you leave it the firmer it will set and the more tart it will taste, I leave mine around 12 hours and use cold water straight from the tap perfect every time! Nice Yogurt - Too Much Unnecessary Plastic!!!! – The yogurt is good and definitely easy to make. However, the company should help to reduce plastic and replace the plastic jar with glass. As another reviewer has stated, you can find lots of the makers thrown out at op-shops. The plastic jar needs to be replaced from time to time for reasons of hygiene. A replacement jar, including postage, is… Read more
about $11. This is quite expensive considering the maker with jar is often on sale for $18 at retailers.
I believe this is a disincentive to replace the jar and an incentive to replace the whole unit. Accordingly, the company is encouraging the increase of plastic in our environment.
After contacting the company about my concerns regarding plastic, I was told that the plastic was required for safety reasons. This is just nonsensical and a poor excuse for damaging the environment.
Country Trading sell a stainless steel yogurt maker with a glass jar, and this is not much more expensive to buy, especially considering the glass jar doesn't need to be replaced.
Excellent way to get healthy greek yoghurt – Have been using this for over 10 years with some breaks in between. Always works (except for about 3 packets some time ago .. maybe related to its storage before I purchased it)..I eat it nearly every day eg with breakfast cereals and also with frozen fruit as a dessert. I just use tap water in with the yoghurt powder in the jar and boil up the… Read more
water that the jar goes into in the larger container. The packet it comes in is recyclable through redicycle..confirmed with them, just make sure you have cleaned it.
Always greek full fat for me, a little tart. Love the included description of bacterial starters. Wasn't rated as high as others but beware of lack of bacteria in the others and I at least like it's flavour..other brand was too creamy with no tartness and it achieved a much higher rating somewhere maybe by choice magazine. Given I am not a fan of yoghurts thanks Easiyo. Smaller container not so easy to clean with it's screwtop lid, larger container just leave to air-dry. But they have a newer version now, maybe that is easier to clean.
Easy to use and makes delicious yoghurt! – I purchased the easiyo yoghurt maker recently about a week and a half ago and I love it! Its so easy to use and the yoghurt is delicious! I got it from Woolies along with a few different flavoured sachets and I've used it 3 or 4 times already. The yoghurt set properly every time, I found that leaving it in the maker for 18 hours makes much thicker… Read more
yoghurt. I also found that Big W has a heap more different flavors than Woolies so I got some from there today.
I wanted to buy another 1 kg container so I could have one in the maker and another one in the fridge. When I tried to find them today, I couldn't find them anywhere. I looked in 3 different Woolies, Coles, Big W and Kmart. None of them sell separate containers, just the yoghurt makers. Coles only sold the sachets, not the yoghurt makers. I thought that surely one of those stores would sell separate containers. I even tried some op shops, where I found 1 yoghurt maker but I don't need another one, just a container. So I ended up ordering some containers online, after I tried a generic container that didn't fit in the maker properly and the lid popped off. It seems like only the easiyo brand containers are the only ones that fit and work in the maker.

Luuuuuv it!!! – Just luuuuv it - so much so have bought a maker for a couple of my friends and converted them. I buy the yoghurt sachets in bulk direct from Easiyo - much cheaper than supermarkets and as we use two a week worth the exercise. Thank you Easiyo. Show details
Use the instructions – I love this. No need to plug in, it’s a thermos. The Greek unsweetened Easiyo is perfect, l can add my own fruit, muesli, or make tzatziki or add to curries etc. I’ve found you must use a thermometer to get the temp range 15-20C. I aim for 16C. Use instructions for boiling water levels. I use an alarm set for 8 hours. Works every time. I buy the mix on sale, then it’s a bargain. Don’t use out of date mix. Show details
Setting – If you have trouble with the yoghurt setting in the cooler weather, try putting the container in a thermos bag to set, it will keep the water temperature warmer for longer. Works a treat for me.

DISAPPOINTED – I had purchased 25 pack of Greek Style yogurt, but I was disappointed that unlike my past experience, this particular lot was not working, not one pack but one after the other, there was something not quite right. I contacted them and informed them I still had 8 unopened packs and what was wrong with the lost. I was informed that replacement… Read more
would be sent, when in stock. I got only 2 packs not 8 which I was returning. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I was not seeking a charity. Easio had supplied a substandard product and was expecting the company to replace them. They failed to do so. Yesterday I informed Easio that I was not happy and I was returning all 8 packages and the 2 I had received from back to Easio. II want full refund or replacement. This experience was even worst than the first.
Poor design of lid – Initially I managed to get a few great batches of yoghurt. Now however, I have to wrap the top half in a towel and secure firmly to get the heat to stay in long enough to set the yoghurt. Love the idea but need the lid to screw on more securely. Show details

sugar – look at label 7.8 grams of sugar for 100 grams. not only mixes expensive they are rip off. you are basically paying for sugar disguised as plant based food. take any coconut based yogurt already made and sold in supermarket it is fraction of sugar compared with this powder. you want to get type 2 diabetes keep wasting your money on this dangerous product

Love it! Super Easy to use - super economical for Pensioners and Families – We have had this Easiyo yogurt maker for an incredibly long time, and it still looks brand new, and it has never failed us. As daily yogurt eaters, we make yogurt at least twice a week. It is so so simple to do, and there is a lot of variety in flavours. It takes about 4mins to make, and we leave it on the kitchen bench in the container overnight, and then next morning put it in the fridge. Tastes great. Show details
Use it all the time – Have not bought prepared yoghurt for years after finding this product. Can’t eat the mass produced prepared stuff full of thickeners after eating this. Don’t care about the sugar content as other reviewers seem to be, I’m more concerned with the amount of dairy content, that other products don’t appear to have. Quite inexpensive when you buy it… Read more
on special. I have many packets stacked in my pantry, quite disappointed that Woolworths seem to have discontinued the Greek flavoured varieties
Doesn’t make thick yogurt – The product is just rubbish that is full of sweeteners and doesn’t thicken. Show details
Love mine – I have used this yoghurt maker since it first came out many years ago and i still love it. If you find it dosent set or is too runny let it stand a little longer. Did you know if by chance it dosent set you can make a smoothy with it dont throw it out and waste it, even my pets enjoy it. You can buy other brand sachets too if you find the cost is a problem as they work just as well. Show details
Easiyo + Expensive Satchels = nice yoghurt but not value for money! – I’ve had an older easiyo for many years and used to find it convenient and economic. I have since sent it to the op shop where I have seen lots of friends to keep it company! The concept is great but the cost of the ready made satchels of culture etc is ridiculously high and comparable to buying a tub of ready made yoghurt at the supermarket.… Read more
There is no choice or competition for these satchels. Research shows that these satchels merely contain powdered culture and powdered milk. It is possible to buy powdered culture but using some quality ready made yoghurt is ok as well. There are people on the internet that have successfully made good yoghurt using the easiyo and not the satchels. If you want to save money it’s worth checking out what to do. It’s certainly more involved and needs precision. But if you yearn to create your own and control what goes into it, it is well worth the effort. The 3 stars is for the yoghurt maker not the easiyo commercial satchels
Homemade yoghurt, yum – We love this product. No need for electricity to keep warm. Aesthetically looks great on them bench. Able to purchase extra tubs to keep ahead with the making. We make 2-3 tubs of yoghurt weekly. Show details
Simply Delicious! – My family eats a couple of litres of yoghurt each week so I was thrilled to discover this wonderful NZ product. So simple to use and the end result is beautiful, thick, creamy yoghurt every time. We’ve tried unsweetened Greek and strawberry flavour so far and both were delicious. Saving on $ and plastic so a win all round. Show details
purchased a thermometer – I had some disasters and found that the water pipes were on the outside wall in full sun. So my wife purchased a thermometer - no more guessing the temperature. No more failures. Purchased a second one on special and have 2 jars cheaper than buying a new jar. Easiyo good to deal with will listen to comments about product. Replacement jars are much better Show details

This product has problems – I feel that the milk powder in the sachets is of very poor quality. I have to add 100g of my own milk powder to a whole sachet to get a professional 5 star result !
Easy to use, great yoghurt and flavours – Purchased this unit lately to use while we are travelling around Oz, very simple to use, easy directions, many flavours available to purchase, including plain greek yoghurt, using live cultures. Show details
Mixed results, but convenient – I have recently started making my own yoghurt again using Easiyo. I purchased the new version of the 1 kilo jar which is a better shape, its much easier to get all of the yoghurt out of the bottom. I've had mixed results of the yoghurt, some has been perfect but some have been a bit runny, maybe its the cold weather, will try again with the… Read more
water being a bit warmer. It really is not much cheaper to make your own but it is really convenient to be able to have fresh yoghurt made at home with all the health benefits to it. The flavours I have tried have been very nice.
Love it! – I have been using Easi yo for over ten years now and love it. I buy the low fat Greek variety and like the fact that it contains a lot less fat and sugar than supermarket varieties. Re not setting: I found the natural low fat was quite runny and the occasional batch of Greek can be a bit thin so I don't fill it quite to the top. However, I think… Read more
colder water and room temperature in winter may affect setting. Re leaking containers: I don't shake the mixture but stir vigorously with a spoon.
Big waste of money & time! Disappointed. Not trying anymore when I can purchase premade at similar price! – Have followed the 3 step instructions to the letter - tried to make the Honey & Banana - both refused to set! I can purchase premade at similar price. It was a novelty. Show details
Deals with yogurt wastage, thumbs up! – We got an Easi yo half way through last year, we buy the sachets on sale and it works out to $3.50 a kg. The vanilla flavour is fantastic and you can add frozen fruits as wanted. We make it the day before we need more yogurt and try to have just enough for the week. For us we were only using 250g a week for school, so we can make what we need… Read more
only and have no wastage now. It easily lasts 7-9 days so it is perfect for us.
Highly recommend, so easy to use and so cheap for good quality yogurt.
Easiyo yoghurt maker value for money – I just buy the vanilla greek flavour and perfect every time. Just lately I have added instant coffee to it yum! I can't have sugar and this is great mix. I always have a mix on the go and that means I am never short of yoghurt one in fridge and one on the blend Show details
Easy Peasy!!! – I've been making Easiyo yogurt for a decade or more now. First the white container. Then the red. Have bought 3 to give to other people as gifts. I only use the the Greek, or Natural sachets. occasionally on some fruit with nuts. Really like it! For that person who says the new red unit leaks when shaken.......this happened to me first time too, but when I made sure the lid was properly fastened there was no more leakage :) Love my Easiyo!!! :D
Perfect – I used the packet first time. Now i use freash milk few couple spoon of starter from the old batch and it makes perfect yougurt. So it will only cost you $1 for the 1 liter of milk. Makes sure you heat the milk to about 80 degree and then co it down to room temp before mixing your starter. Rest follow the same process. Cheap and best yougurt you will ever get. Show details
very poor manufacturing of the yogurt maker – The yogurt produced is real good, my gripe is the plastic unit. The inner and outer peices of the unit do not fit together well and the actual jar leaks when shaking to dissolve the powder . As i said the yogurt is not the problem it is in the plastic containers. I have previously owned and used this maker EASIYO few years ago and am most… Read more
disappointed with this cheep and nasty new unit.

Amazing – Such a great, inexpensive, easy way to make yogurt! For 1kg it took me 5 mins to prepare, and I left it to set overnight. Perfect texture after a stir and had been in the fridge. I bought the tropical fruits flavour sachet and it’s a lovely taste that my 4yo loves! Can’t wait to get other flavours Show details
Easy peasy – Works. Easy to use unless you have Carple tunnel. Maybe add a handle for opening. Or an allen key type of lid. I found a cheaper packet of yoghurt. I have tried. Cheaper packet just as good as this brand. It'll save you over a $1 each packet. I'll be going with the Australian product I've lived in hot climate and cold climate. Never an issue. Never failed a batch. Show details
Amazing Yoghurt Maker – Bought our Easiyo maker about 6 months ago when it was half price at Woolworths & used it twice/week ever since for my son. He loves it! The pouches are great how there’s so many flavours, & they’re very easy to make. I use the reusable pouches too, so it makes it heaps cheaper than buying single-use pouches from the supermarket.
