TWO DUDS NOT TRYING FOR A HAT TRICK! – Purchased a Brommic superheat from the local Bunnings last winter worked ok for a while, but then the ignition would not work took it back and received a replacement worked ok till the end of winter. and only had it on a single burner. Pulled it out recently and now only works on low. when lit on high goes off after 2 minutes. Requested a… Read more
replacement and the Brommic company in Sydney would not send one up till they assessed mine. Indicated I have a sick child needing warmth and did not want to wait for however it took to ship both ways and the period of assessment. Lost my patronage and requested a refund. Two duds are not really a good reflection of quality.
Buying trouble – Ignition faulty, seems to be worn plastic parts, can’t turn on(cheap plastic parts in the ignition) tried looking for a new ignition or parts no such luck maybe best to avoid this product, if the company can replace these simple plastic parts I’ll take this review down. Just contacted the distributor so far I have had no reply, not a professional company I’d say, poor manager and management who avoid customer relations. Show details
Excellent gas heater – This is a great heater that does not require power. Heats the room no problems at all. We loved it so much we purchased a 2nd heater for our family room. Show details
Had this for over 20 years! Worked perfectly until the fitting broke just last night – Luckily, I was able to check the fitting before it happened when it was on, but it broke when I attached a new hose. Just need to find a replacement for the fitting. Good old memories with this heater. Show details · 1
Do not buy.....regretful purchase – Constantly spluttering and very noisy. Disappointed. Still under warranty. Will be making a warranty claim. Looks great but buy a more reputable brand. Constantly misfiring and making such odd noises.
Great heater - Great service – This heater is my first gas heater and I am very impressed. It heats the whole room within 15 mins and then warms into the adjoining rooms. After working well for 3 months, it stopped working. I called the warehouse and they had a courier pick it up within 2 working days and a brand new heater was returned to me in 9 days at absolutely no cost to me. I cannot speak highly enough of the Heater and the people who supply it. Show details
Disgusted – Customer service is appalling. They don't listen and trying to return the product is impossible. They charge 20% on returns even though the reason for return is due to ther wrong gas. Show details
Great reliable heater – Brilliant heater. This is my fifth winter. I use it outside during the colder months and it keeps me very warm. I have had a problem the last couple of years getting the pilot light to stay on when and keep the heater going when I crank it up after summer (admittedly it has sat outside for several months in all the dust, pollen and windblown… Read more
gunk). I simply disconnected the gas line from the back of the heater and gave it a blast up the hooter with the air gun on my air compressor. Fixes the problem immediately. Maybe those people giving the unit a rubbishing could give this solution a try.
Waste of money.. & we're still cold! – The heater first didnt turn on, so I thought maybe I got a faulty one... So I took it back to the shop and exchanged it. Second one.. similar issue. I checked my gas supply.. all good - other appliances working fine. It keeps splutering and struggling to turn on, it only lights up on min but to go to max the tiles don't light up. So… Read more
fustrating. Tried blowing air as close to pilot as I could get without opening the heater to try make sure it was getting enough oxygen... but still.
I see they have now discontinued this model - I wonder why...
But ofcourse not before selling off a few more faulty ones first!
As a single mother of 3 small children trying to keep warm in winter - I taken advantage of & conned.... this heater cost me $400. I would have gotten more heat off burning the $400 in cash!!
Awesome heater – Not sure what people are complaining about. Been using this heater for 5 years and never had the problem of it going out. About to get rolled out for about the 6th winter. Over the warmer months just keep it covered in storage so that dust doesn't collect on it because the first time you use it next it'll have a funny smell for the first day. Show details
Excellent! Beautiful and toasty warm! – This heater has always been good for me. I bought it from oo.com.au and I've have had it two years and it has never skipped a beat. Brilliant heater, can't recommend it enough! This was a great deal when I bought it and I can't be happier with it. I would recommend.
Hopeless – Bought this heater in 2015 and it kept cutting out every few minutes then another day would stay on the entire time. It is now June 2016 and the heater cuts out constantly. Does not operate anywhere close to what the you pay for it. Do Not Buy This Crap.

Very impressed – Was looking for a portable natural gas heater required to heat a split level area. Although this one did not have a fan it has been very effective in heating a large area. Easy to start, no power required (has a battery to start), 2 settings (min 3 burners/max 6 burners), modern looking. Great value for money addition of a fan would be more effective but can live without it.
Supaheat, supanoisy – Purchased heater 2months ago, sent it back to firm to attend to incredible spluttering noise. Sent back and noise exactly same. Looks great but noise a real turnoff. Would not recommend to anyone seeking a quiet machine as it is necessary to have tv very loud to drown out disturbing sound. Appearance Incredibly noisy in operation.
Useless – I bought this heater new, have only used it last year,it keeps turning itself off for no reason ,I think I should have gone with a better brand name, could not recommend this heater to anyone ,I bought this heater through ebay Keeps turning off
Thermocouple replacement – Had a kero heater for years and a black ceiling to go with it. I agree, best thing I ever bought. I don't have gas on in my area, so I buy the tanks. No waiting for bills to come in. I just make sure I have a window open within 5mtr for ventilation. Gives off great amount of heat all through the house Trying to find someone to replace the… Read more
thermocouple - that doesn't cost more than the heater. My daughter has the same heater and she also had trouble with the thermocouple giong after a couple (3) of years. No back up from the pace I bought it fromI now have no heat this winter gggrrr!!!
OK for one room – Purchased Bromic Super Heat Natural Gas Heater. Easy to set up but with no fan it is really only suitable for a medium size room. We just have it in our TV room but other rooms will have to get another gas heater. States you have to stand it on a hearth or fire resistant mat if standing on carpet. I would like to know why as the underneath section… Read more
on the carpet remains cold with no apparent heat transference. Price and easy to set up and appears to be very efficient energy wise. Only paid $299.00 new. Would be very good it it had a fan. Would make the heat go a lot further
brilliant 5/5 – We had no trouble connecting this heater. we are very impressed it has all the safety features we wanted. It is half the price of other models we tried and is very very warm - we are heating an area about 9m x 3.5m approx 30sqm in about 20mins, we then open the rest of the rooms about 3 and remain comfortable. The connection is anticlockwise… Read more
not clockwise as in the instructions. We love the silence of not having a fan. Highly recommended could not be happier. Sits neatly under window sill good size. Wonderful value for money. Efficient convection upward draft - counters necessity for a fan and ignition battery supplied with unit You will need to place it on some ceramic tiles or similar if carpet is on your floor
