The taste was herbs with a hint of sweetness, didn't mind the taste. (As for marshmallows it's not marshmallows but a plant root not related to marshmallows yeah) My cough did disappear with in less than 48hrs. The down side I still had flem in my lungs/chest. Unable to cough up flem as I could no longer cough naturally my lungs, back and kidneys… Read more

paid the price as I could could no longer cough up flem to clear my chest and was painful. I WOULD NOT ADVISE anyone with asthma or bronchitis to take this.

The marshmallow and thyme flavour is so awful ! Tastes like a really herby cold chicken gravy , looks it too . But the medication really does seem to soothe a chesty cough in kids . I wouldn't get this again , based on taste alone . I could barely contain my gag trying to get my kids to swallow it . The Thyme flavour is so strong . Show details

As good as a cough medicine can get – Had a dry viral cough, very sick, inflamed upper respiratory... took this twice a day for a couple of days and it did calm my symptoms but of course it is not magical and cough syrups can only do as much when one has the flu. I do not know why but I love the taste. Reminds me of my grandma's herb garden, way more natural taste than Benadryl. … Read more

Laxative effect or intestinal issues as reported by others? Never got any but then again I do not attribute my sickness symptoms on a couple of spoonfuls of some syrup. Would I buy again? yes

Worst product ever! – Brought 16/11/22 for a dry cough as it was the only product the store had. Thought it would be alright as It was herbal. I was wrong. The product itself was so thick almost like honey and smelt like peppermint foot cream. The product contains xylitol which has a laxative effect and sure enough after only 2 recommend doses I had explosive diarrhoea. I have never had such serve stomach cramps before! Do not recommend! Show details

What a relief – I grabbed this the other day from Coles, noting it was herbal, the 2 different herbs targeting the different coughs and as I have both a dry and chesty cough, dual purpose seemed perfect. It tastes gross to me, but what a relief. When I took my first swig in my car, I did not realise how tight my chest was and how much diffuculty I was having… Read more

breathing. I felt totally relaxed, just sitting in the car, thinking wow. It reduces the dry cough and is certainly bringing up more gunk for the chesty cough. I am sick of being sick and hope to get over this soon. I haven't come across major laxitive effect yet, but I am happy to put up with it to get over a lingering sinus/brochial infection. It cost a bit over 10 bucks for 200ml.

Surprisingly works well for us – A lot of cough medication you buy over the counter are hit and miss. Lucky if they give any relief. After going through 2 bottles of popular cough medicine with little or no relief I read about this one. I purchased a bottle yesterday and took some in the afternoon and then again before bed. I’m pleasantly surprised that it actually worked very… Read more

well. I did cough a lot in the night but that was because all the muck on my chest was breaking up and becoming loose. Exactly what I needed to happen. Along with honey and lemon drinks I think I’ve found the best cough medicine ever. I’ll stick to anything that works. Thankyou

Immediate relief from constant tickle in throat and cough – A few weeks ago, I suffered from a terrible sinus infection and then lung infection. I suffered initially from nasal bleeding and noises, then shortness of breath, a wheeze and a never-ending tickle in my throat causing me to cough and bring up bright green phlegm (yes, yuck, disgusting!) but equally a non-productive cough a lot of the time. … Read more

After antibiotics and Prednisolone, now Symbicort for lungs and Nasonex (which is supposed to help with nasal symptoms even though it's not allergy related), I was left with many of the symptoms including the dreadful tickle at the back of my throat which made me cough so much my chest hurt and I got a headache. This tickle and cough plagued me pretty much all day and woke me at night. As before, I was still coughing up phlegm but a lot of the time the cough was non-productive. When in the supermarket, I saw Bronchodual and decided to try it out. I started out the recommended dose of 15ml but once at midday and then before bedtime. I was stunned to find immediate relief from that dreadful tickle in my throat and therefore my need to cough. The tickle in my throat and my cough has reduced about 80%. Of course I'm not trying to say I'm cured as I still do have to cough and bring up phlegm but the blessed relief from that constant tickle causing me to cough (whether productive or non-productive cough) has been relieved so much that I'm not experiencing a sore chest and headache from the constant coughing. Because I've only taken it twice a day and spaced apart by hours I've not experienced any laxative effect either. In my case, this product has worked so well for the tickle in my throat and associated cough I'm happy to recommend it.

Don't waste your money – Bought this on recommendation from chemist Does nothing and for $20 you would expect something. Apparently it's an immune booster so no good when you need relief right away. Don't waste your money Show details

No good on the stomach – Same here, it has a laxative effect more than a cough suppressing effect and furthermore...one syrup CAN NOT relieve every type of cough since they have different origins and need different treatments, sorry to say that it did not work for me, so I restored to good old Benadryl which always works in o time at all... Show details

Dry Cough? COPD? – I started using this when I had bronchitis. It worked a treat for me, as I also had a very dry cough that was so bad my ribs were aching for days. Worked wonders. My dad is elderly and has COPD (lung disease) that exacerbates mucus production and dry cough. He has been taking for many years every kind of cough mix you can imagine. I had half a… Read more

bottle left after I got better and offered it to him to try. It is now his go to product. He maintains it works better than the others and has no horrible after taste (its a mild herbal taste) and doesnt interact with his other medications. He has the lozenges as well and tells me they are also terrific for him.

Relived my cough – I didn’t know if I had a dry or chesty cough so I decided to give this a try. Definitely helped bring up some mucus I didn’t know I had and relived that dry ticklish feeling in the back of my throat. If I was being picky I would fault the taste, it wasn’t very nice but at least it worked for its main purpose! Show details

More effective on my bowels than my cough – I started to develop a chesty cough, so I picked this up and followed the recommended dosage instructions. I didn't really feel any relief from my coughing, it still happened quite a lot. I stayed below the maximum dosage, however this morning i was awoken at 4am by the most intense gut cramps and I had to rush off to the toilet where the end… Read more

explosive results were that of a crime scene.

The instructions say it "may" have a laxative effect, i'd say that's an understatement. I haven't had gut cramps that strong before, nor ever been woken up by the intense urge to evacuate my bowels. However if you're constipated, this stuff surely should work for you haha.

The only really points I feel that I can give it is it actually tastes quite pleasant, sort of like honey, and goes down easy as it's not very thick.
