Brunnings Potting Mix Premium

Not the least impressed to find a bloody great rock (120 mm x 90 mm x 80mm - approx) in a bag of Brunnings red bag potting mix frm Woolworths Burnie.

Don’t waste your money – Very disappointed. Opened the bag to find what I can only describe as terrible quality debris mix (how they can advertise it as potting mix is beyond me). Will be steering well clear in the future of anything brunnings since the most energy they can put into their products is the dead battery I found in my bag of “potting” mix

was good, now rubbish – I had been using Searles premium mix that came in 65 litre woven poly bags for quite a few years with very good results. Recently these (at my supplier, local Norco rural store) appear to have been replaced by 50litre plastic bags. Unfortunately the new product is nothing short of rubbish. Moisture retention and plant growth rates are significantly less in the new product. Also unfortunate is that I bought 150 litres before I discovered the problem -

waste of money.

Today I was potting-on numerous plants grown in this medium. Despite having been well watered over the couple of months since first potted, the sub- surface mix resembled dry saw dust with whiteish dust/fungus.

Extremely disappointed and will be looking elsewhere for future purchases.

PLEASE NOTE: mistake made in brand ..am now trying Brunnings mix as it was Searles I had trouble with.

Everything is dying! – I don't usually use this brand, but I ran out of the product I do use. Upon opening the bag, I noticed the color (potting mix should be black, not grey) but decided to use it anyway. Two weeks later - all my vege and herb seedlings are dying (the same ones planted in other potting mix are flourishing!) How did Brunnings obtain an Australian Standards Quality rating for such an obviously lousy product? The price. Very inexpensive - yeah, I know, if it's too good to be true - it probably is.....
