Just got it. All I wanted was a cooker that isn't too large and suitable for one or two people. I have no intention of doing soups and stews. etc as it is too small. Works well and the rice seems to be fluffy with no problems at all so far. I have made several batches and take into account that it will take 40 minutes when preparing meals. I'm not sure what all the complaining is about. You have to clean all rice cookers and this is no more difficult than any other cooker. Putting the lid back on is easy and the same as other rice cookers.

My only issue would be that it is white and will show fingermarks easily.

UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER: This unit has performed fine, but the plastic latch holding the lid closed has just failed after light use. I will now have to weigh the lid down while it is cooking. For that reason, I am changing my score to reflect the flimsy build quality. Photo shows broken latch.

Buffalo mini rice cooker – Given a 1 for the sole reason the 40 min. preset is the only cook time, it's too long rice is gluggy, can't believe there's no adjustable custom setting, putting less water dries the rice. Stopping after 30min. makes nice rice but that makes preset useless doesn't it!!!
