Buildmat

Caroma had given us the wrong date for the things we ordered, they had said they were going to receive it in September but still hasnt arrived, but hats off to Buildmat they have been keeping us informed as much as they could and offered a refund if we couldnt wait.

Delivery was fast, service was great. We called and asked to see the size would fit our cabinet and whether it was in stock, they were very helpful. The product arrived in perfect condition.

I was a bit unsure about buying from Buildmat given some reviews. However my experience was great. The communication about the order was superb. I had incorrectly ordered the wrong colour but the lovely Larissa exchanged it for the right colour. I was charged a restocking fee but though this was fair given they had ordered the item in. Shipping was super quick and the whole process was painless. Will be going back any time I need more items.

Great design, poor quality stainless steel. Bought this sink for our kitchen renovation and immediately noticed rust spots throughout the sink. I must have used something that caused the rust. Impossible! It requires daily cleaning to keep the rust spots as bay, which is ridiculous for a sink! If I miss a coupe of days I notice the spots starting all across the sink. It’s so much maintenance and too hard to replace as our stone was specifically cut for this sink. Wish we’d just bought a better quality sink and not have this nightmare maintenance regime! Poor quality stainless steel and I do not recommend.

I purchased some wall mixers and tapware from buildmat. Ever since the mixer were installed by our licenced plumber it has been an absolute nightmare!! plumber to change over. We thought this solved the problem, however after 2 weeks the exact same thing happened. Leaking wall mixer, flooding our bathroom again. We had to shut off our main water supply again over a long weekend with 3 kids at home while we waited to get back to this company to help us with the issue. They supplied another cartridge which once again we were out of pocket and had to wait for them to post it and then get our plumber to install. After the 2nd cartridge replacement, 2 weeks later same problem, leaking wall mixers.

The only thing our plumber could put it down to is buildmat continually supplying faulty cartridges.

Buildmat couldn't accept that they were supplying faulty cartridges and began blaming our water pressure- even after verified water pressure testing from our plumber as well as our whole house using the same rated kpa tapware with no issues whatsoever (bought from ABI).

After 5 cartridge replacement hoping the next one wouldn't be faulty. We decided to take matters in our own hands and we sourced another cartridge from Reece plumbing. Since changing to this cartridge, we have had no more leaks. Even after supplying this information to buildmat, they were adamant that they didn't provide a faulty product.

We are now left with poor quality tapware that we do not trust at all and a severely swollen brand new vanity caused by the constant leaking.

Steer clear from this company!!!! I can't stress it enough. They are cheaper than their competitors and for good reason- they are supplying faulty products that have caused so much unwanted stress and anxiety in dealing with the constant issues they caused.

would have been) that they would deduct $19.91 shipping and $52.00 for a 20% re-stocking fee ??? and that I could only get a credit not a refund. Buildmat didn't have the size grates I need so a credit is useless to me. As I spent well in excess of $1000 with Buildmat I thought that customer satisfaction would have been a priority, but I was wrong. I will never buy anything from Buildmat again and I'm out $250 for the grates. I'm also wondering what a re-stocking fee is...absolute robbery!!!

I purchased a new stainless sink, and it has scratches in it after less than two weeks! – A new stainless steel sink, beautifully installed and has scratches after a week and a bit of very light use (the house is being renovated, so we mainly eat take out). I am frustrated and upset by it; this is such a low-quality product! We purchased the Avisha sink. Stay away from it :-(
