into the room from the upper window frame during a rainstorm. Advised Stegbar - no response. It happened again early 2005 - Stegbar sent someone out but they didn't solve the problem. It happened again late 2025 - Stegbar advised but no response. It happened again early 2026 - Stegbar advised but refused to send someone out. Bureau of Consumer Affairs involved - eventually a leak inspector (plumber) was sent out 2 months later. Brief was clearly to find any solution that avoided Stegbar fixing the faulty window. He blasted water at the window (which caused water to pour in through frame and drenched the carpet underneath) Claimed that one small board behind a conduit channel screwed to the wall) was the problem, and denied any responsibility for cleaning up the wet floor until pressured. DON'T expect any customer service from them - the responses have been non-existent or quite rude.

so had to purchase them for the product to work. Poor communication initially, but prompt with working through purchasing extra parts. Poor quality control perhaps.

even put a plastic strip on the bottom of the door, this only limits the amount of water that escapes. We’ve added drops of clear silicone to the grout and tiles on the floor to try and create a barrier, however the bathmat is soaked every time we use the shower.

Everything we purchased for our bathroom was from the recommendations of staff in store.

Useless Warranty on a Fraudulent Product – When my ACS Engineered Stone bath was found to have multiple cracking just prior to installation I called the ACS Sales to see if they had another.… Read more

They did and it could be delivered within 3 days. I made a warranty claim and after multiple statements and photo's ACS agreed to replace the damaged bath some 5 weeks later.

This warranty came at a cost to me of $960 being for the return and replacement delivery. The Bath had to be returned, it was said, so that they could check to see if I had done anything that had caused the multiple cracks and also it was said, so I couldn't do anything with it. It sounds ridiculous I know, but that was straight from the ACS Director.

By the time the replacement was available the bathroom was finished, with the building contractor already installing another bath that was locally available. I had also discovered, in the painful back and forwards warranty process ACS had put me through, that the engineered stone bath was significantly different than the manufacturers specification sheet, with it being only 75KG of the specified 120KG.

I asked to be refunded and told ACS to pick up the bath if they wanted it back.

ACS management refused to refund and refuted the bath was not a different weight to specified (even tried to say the spec sheet just had a typo). And indicated that I had probably just incorrectly weighed the bath. ACS was invited to inspect the bath, which they declined.

I had little option but to take the bath to a public weighbridge. After providing the tare weight from the weighbridge to ACS there has been no response to my emails. Evidence suggest that the Engineered Stone Bath is a fake.

ACS Designer Bathrooms will do whatever it takes to keep your money when things are wrong with your product. Avoid them and find a reputable supplier.

from this company and I keep tell myself I should have learnt the lesson. And don't expect an answer to any of your questions from their support team, they never actually answer your questions, in fact after 5 emails they just would not answer a single question I asked. Will not be purchasing anything from them in the future because I just don't know when it should arrive and nor do they apparently.

Brought expensive tapware - after only 2.5 years of use all the coating flaked off … I grew up with Methven Taps which used to last forever. Sadly the old NZ quality brand no longer exists. Avoid.

you read their terms and conditions it stated they are not responsible for inaccurate information on their website. The tiles were expensive but I was willing to pay for what I want - Opening the first box my first thought was: THIS IS THE UGLIEST TILES! The sample is one small bit of a tile that looks somewhat like the tile on the website but reality is very different. Every second tile looks different. They proudly advertise you can return if unhappy - but you have to pay for it and arrange it so really you don't get any money back. I ordered many tiles online and this was the worst experience ever!!

Being able to pick all the fixtures and fittings in one place and have them handle the project management was exactly what I wanted—I thought I could just let them do the whole lot and not have to worry about a thing. Unfortunately, the reality has been the exact opposite. For the premium price they charge, I expected a managed service, but I have ended up acting as the unpaid project manager. Oxford Bathrooms quoted 6 to 8 weeks to complete Stage 1, yet it took a ridiculous 23 weeks. To make matters worse, we are still waiting for them to address several outstanding issues from that phase that have gone completely ignored. Every trade that has turned up had no clear brief; we had to personally walk them through the job and tell them what to do because there was zero direction from Oxford bathrooms. The only time they actually initiate communication is when they are chasing us for progress payments. When we have questions about the massive delays, we receive no response, but they manage to send through progress payment invoices with no problem. Even when the work has not been completed. We are now partway through Stage 2, and it has been four weeks since demolition with not a single trade attending the site. Save yourself the headache and the money: do not trust the "one-stop shop" sales pitch.

Picked it up at the warehouse, unpacked it, and what do you know, a "Carpentry Oxymoron". A big red sticker referring to quality control with a broken 3rd draw facia. Took over a week to get replacement, and wallah! A few chips for good measure. Pretty average quality control if you ask me, more like a factory second at a premium price.
