Best nappies (reusable or disposable) that we've used – I'm a big advocate of reusable nappies but a lot of people I know stopped using them because they became too difficult because of stuffing (pockets). No need with the Elementals. I also have a suspicion Bumgenius Elementals (2013) have changed significantly since the earlier posts and reviews here. I have used both disposables on occasion and we… Read more
tested many reusables (totbots, fuzzibums, Charlie banana, Bumgenius Freetime) and while they were great, Elementals are by far the best, and THERE IS NO POCKET STUFFING! My son is also a very large child (99% in weight and height) and a heavy wetter who hates change time. Disposables don't stand a chance with him at night. Elementals are easy to wash, quick to put on, stack, look great and relatively slim, husband/grandparents find them easy to use, they fit a larger baby (he grew out of every other brand at 6 months), don't wick (every other brand we tried would wick often) and absorb so much (if you follow the instructions and do the required prewashes or take it easy the first few wears). They still look brand new after 1 year (in fact in hot weather he never wears shorts or trousers over them they look so good) and we only had 10 of them for the first 6 months. YES, the drying time can be long (I live in an apartment in London) but back in Australia on holidays they dry within half a day outside on the line. They absorb so much more than other nappies it makes sense that they do take a bit longer to dry. The tip is also that when you hang them, turn them inside out so each bit of cloth is separated and face outside. Love them. Sad to see they don't get better reviews here, but think that may be due to design changes over time and preferences. I wanted a nappy that looked great, would last the distance, didn't wick or leak and was EASY and quick to deal with. The trade-off is drying time, but it makes no difference to us! No leaks, good fit, easy to put on, large size, no wicking, great colours, long lasting Relatively slow drying
Love these nappies – We have been using cloth nappies for the first time with our first baby who is now 9mnths old. We starting using them since birth. We have the Bumgenious Elemental nappies and we love them. They fit well, contain poos beautifully and are so easy to clean. They look as new as the day I first bought them. I havent had any issues with any holes… Read more
forming like others have commented in other review i had read when I purchased them. I have paid off our cloth nappies now. It took me 8mnths. Definately recommend. My baby is a big boy, I hope they last him till potty training. Im now on the medium size setting and will need to be moving to the last large setting soon. Great nappy. Good fit. Great range of colours. Easy to clean. Take a while to dry in the cooler months, but pop them in the dryer and they are fine.
Go with something else if you want organic – As with other bumgenius nappies, these have a great fit and rarely leak. My main issue is with the drying time - it is excessive and you would never be able to have a full nappy stash with these nappies. Also after 12 months of wear my nappies are getting holes in the fabric. For me a good nappy should last at least two children's wear. While… Read more
these nappies are still usable I doubt they will last as long as I hope them to. Great fit, rarely leak. Drying time, durablility
Good – I really like these nappies for their great fit and soft fabric. I'm hoping they'll last till my bub's very big. the fabric has remained soft after many washes. The double row of snaps for closing and the positions of the snaps for adjusting the size are all really great as I haven't had any leaks with these nappies (especially leg leaks, which… Read more
I've had lots of problems with with other OSFA nappies). they take no work at all after drying to put back together. really absorbent and no problems with the quality of them so far. Had to wait till my bub was about 4 weeks old or so before I could start putting him in these. They also take A LONG time to dry (2 days usually), so you can't rely on these as your only nappies unless you have alot of them. They can be a bit pricey.
Bad – trim fit, nice for day time, easy to use nice and soft great nappy if they were made to last it fits well didn't leak on my 18 month old did not try it at night, trim fit after i washed it three times elastic at the back went and they would not replace it because they said it was just wear
Bad – Good for night time while baby is young, but not sure they will fit long enough or be absorbent enough when baby is a bit older. May not get your moneys worth with these ones. It fits really well on my 3 week old boy and can save me having to change him as often (as Huggies disposables) over night which saves waking him after a feed during the… Read more
night. Fits well for this age. Great that they are organic materials. They leaked when I used them on my 18 mth old, do not fit well for this age group, they do not dry out even on a hot day, they just take forever to dry.
Good – This is a beautiful nappy, made from high quality materials. The only downside for me is that they take a very long time to dry. Other than that, highly recommended nappy. Quality materials, excellent workmanship. Love the natural fibres, which are great for bubs with sensitive skin. Great range of colours and they look fantastic on. Being an… Read more
all-in-one, there's no pockets to stuff - just pop it on your bub and go. I like the fit - nice and trim, works a treat with my very slim daughter. I also like the press studs - much better overall look than velcro. Being an all-in-one, they take an absolute age to dry, even in warm weather. I'm not sure how they would work with newborns, as you can't really add any boosting materials, and I'm not sure the nappy would contain a blowout.
