Catcher split at the top after 3 uses. It is taped up now. Grass blows everywhere with catcher and mulcher does an awful job. A really poor mower. I thought I’d buy local and support Australia but I regret it. Mower sits in garage now and is in its final resting place. A waste of hard earned savings. Don’t buy one. You will regret it Show details
Extremely difficult to start – Very difficult to start, also the catcher is designed poorly leading to grass frequent slippage and grass coming out through the gaps. Show details
Bad quality – I don't think this is a good product as my mower has fallen apart from the word go I have contacted the company and they suggest it is my fault as grass is acidic and I haven't cleaned it properly what ajoke don't buy this product as you will regret it

Bushranger 46TB5EM – My lawn (Buffalo and Couch) is medium sized with a gentle slope, so mechanically I am happy with the Briggs & Stratton 500, and the cutting action is reasonable but not great, however my greatest issue is with the poor catcher design. Way too much grass clipping is blown though the vents, particularly the right side vent. The right vent has… Read more
larger opening than the left vent. Previously I never had the need to use a blower after moving, however the Bushranger blows grass everywhere and when you have black paths its an unnecessary cleanup pain.
I plan to overlay the right vent with another layer of mesh to trap the grass within the catcher, also as others have mentioned, the catcher hangs on two hooks and the seal is poor, grass clipping will blow through and land on the chassis mowing deck.
Not happy – Grass comes up from under the catcher lid and blows unto your body and face. I would never recommend this mower. This is a genuine review. Show details
We're sorry to hear this Joseph, have you taken the unit back to your local Bushranger dealer for assessment?

gardener and im so disappointed in this highly price lemon This terrible machine has added time to my regular jobs Bushranger facebook page said not good for wet lawns ,I said im in vic and all we get is rain , so do I leave it in the shed when its wet lol. Avoid at all costs do your research dont waste your money
What a shame – Very disappointed with this mower. Do not recommend. Firstly, POORLY BALANCED. When the catcher fills up with grass, the mower tilts back and the front wheels lift off the ground. Secondly, POOR CATCHER. The catcher connects to the mower by way of two small hooks on each side of the catcher top. Very hard to connect the catcher to the mower when… Read more
running after emptying. You have to marry the two connectors while lifting the tail gate up to see and grass building up on the catcher connection and flying out the back. Catcher plastic is brittle and cracks. Thirdly, POOR HEIGHT LEVER. Lever angles out and catches against fence, bushes and anything the mower comes close to. On the positive, GREAT ENGINE
Avoid this mower at all costs!!! – If you care about your lawn avoid this mower at all costs. The next time it fills the catcher will be the first. The discharge chute is too small and blocks way too quick. Tried mulching to negate this problem and was embarrassed at the crap left all over the lawn. You have to be wary of all the star reviews an their website because when I tried to leave one less than stars it was rejected. Show details
Busranger 53TKU7 – Today, 15/03/2022 l purchased a Bushranger 53TKU7 utility mower. The dealer assured me it was a very good machine and all fueled and oiled up and checked and ready for an afternoon's mowing and then helped me load it onto the back of my ute where l secured it. Arriving home l carefully unloaded the machine. l read the manuals, did the start up… Read more
checks, pulled the cord, then a little splutter, then nothing regardless of the throttle settings on subsequent pulls. Rang the dealer who said l must be doing it wrong, but couldn't tell me how to do it right. l have to take it back to the shop, another day of the grass getting out of control. Rang Head Office in Brisbane who said they wanted to help but then shuffled me on to Peter the "mechanic"who didn't answer his phone or call back. These products have a message : BEWARE.

Great Mower – Contrary to Paul, I’ve found my mower to be extremely reliable, starts every time. Use it to mow embankments with thick foliage as I have a ride on to do the paddocks and lawns. I also purchased a Bushranger brush cutter that is the best I’ve owned. Their products are so good I’ve purchased a RZ-54 Zero Turn. Good marks for AG Mowers in Taree as well. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful for anything maintenance equipment related. Show details
A Lemon plus terrible service – I purchased a new bushranger push mower after quite a bit of research. It started out OK but quickly developed problems starting to the point where it wouldn't start at all. Back to the dealer on Bribie Island Qld, who told me that the problem was "Old fuel". He told me that he flushed the carburetor, I took it home and it started OK. It started… Read more
on the next mow but the third mow developed starting problems again. Back to the dealer on Armitage Street Bribie Island and the same story. Back home and the same cycle of starting and then not starting recurred. Back to the dealer (with the mower still under warranty) who was becoming angry by this time and wanted to charge me $80 +GST to "flush" the carburetor again. I told him that it was still under warranty, he said that it wasn't for "old fuel". He further told me that any fuel older than a week is old and shouldn't be used in a Bushranger mower. I was skeptical about thus and negotiated the flush which was done. Back home and the cycle began again until it wouldn't start. Back to the dealer this time with his wife at the counter. She told me that it was "old fuel' again without even seeing the mower ! I asked how she knew this without seeing nor testing the mower. She told me that she "just Knew" ! She also wanted to charge me 80+GST to "flush" the carburetor. I said that it was still under warranty and that it should just start and run - but it wasn't doing that. At this point she became extremely angry and aggressive abusing, swearing and throwing plenty of 'F' bombs at me. In conclusion I would say from experience that Bushranger mowers are extremely unreliable, not particularly powerful and prone to breaking down and flimsy. It doesn't do a better job mowing than any other mower. The Bushranger mower created a great deal of frustration because of it's unreliability plus was extremely time consuming to run back to the dealer who was unreasonable, abusive and will reap the results of that in business. . . .I see that they are trying to sell the business. Bribie Mowers and Cycles.
I ended up buying a $50 mower at a garage sale which has been far superior to the new Bushranger in terms of reliability and performance and lack of aggravation. DON'T BUY ONE . . . .particularly from Bribie Mowers and Cycles !

Needed replacemnt mower ready to go in an hour – Did some research before I bought and found the mower easy to start, manouver, economical on fuel. The lawns I cut are heavy buffalo grass and found it managed them easy with great finish...would recommend mower to anyone. Show details
3rd time lucky – After being very disappointed with purchasing a Victa, then a Husqvarna push mower, I stumbled across Bushranger mowers at my local Buderim Mountain mower shop. Bushranger mowers don't seem to be well known, as they are not in Bunnings probably, but they are Aussie made and very well made. This mower is of the smaller end, 125cc B&S engine, it is… Read more
light and easy to use, has plenty of power, easy to start, cuts beautifully. Its 16" cut makes it perfect for my 600sq block. These mowers maybe harder to find, but after 2 disappointing purchases from mass produced and foreign mowers, it may be worth your while to hunt one down.
