Callaway Big Bertha 2023 Irons 6 - PW,AW,GW Graphite Shafts RCH 65R – I have been playing golf for approx 50 years; my average GA handicap over the last 5 years would be about 14 to 15. I bought these clubs as a birthday present to myself because my Taylormade RSi irons were starting to get a bit shabby. I looked at specs and professional reviews and took professional advice for easy to hit irons with particular attention to loft. After testing the 7 iron in a simulator I was then fitted for length in my local golf shop. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I have tried to play with these irons now for 6 weeks, taken them to the practice fairway a number of times but have found them almost impossible to hit. Okay' when I actually manage to get it right the 7 iron will travel about 125m and the PW about 90m. But 4 times out of 10 I am hitting the 7 iron weakly to the right (not a slice) and 5 times out of 10 I shank the PW, AW and GW. I no longer have any confidence in these irons and have reverted back to my old set of RSi irons, which I hit the same distance with no shanking. I believe the reviews published are by professional golfers, trying to sell an average iron at a big price. The average golfer, which I believe I am, will not find these clubs easy to hit at all. I didn't. In my time, I have had many sets of clubs but have never experienced the disappointment that I have with the Callaway Big Bertha 2023 irons. What a waste of $1800 AUD. I believe you may have to totally change your game to hit these irons well.

Top price good clubs..but – I have bought and used callaway golf clubs for many years. Currently using rogue woods and hybrids. They're ok. Not really much of an improvement on epic (actually gone back to epics) but.. the head covers and grips that they provide with very expensive equipment is nothing short of trash or garbage. Aka cheap crap! Time for a new band. Callaway, same gear, high price, quality on the down hill run.

Hefty Price Tag - Good fishing Rod – Received a Callaway Ball Scoop as a present and for 2 months worked really well that was until I opened up 2 lengths and went to scoop up the gall ball that could be clearly seen. The scoop attached to the ball and as I brought it up to surface, the scoop ring and one other length with the ball went slowly to the bottom of the lake. Now I regularly check the tightness and there was no reason for it to occur. The ending I now have a fishing pole of around 12ft. I contacted Callaway in the US who referred me to Callaway Oceania who said they can't do anything as they engage the retailer as their representative and don't carry stock. I explained it was a present, there was no receipt and the elderly person what gave it to me, can't recall, so again basically told "bad luck" but not as direct.
