Canon G15 - great for beginner photographers – I am not an experienced SLR photographer so the Canon G15 has been a great step-up for me after my previous point-and-shoot compact cameras. It can be used on fully-automatic mode or in a selection of others like Portrait, Nightscene, Snow, Beach, Fireworks etc. to get better results in those conditions. The quality of photos I am getting is excellent and I am gradually learning to use all the other features, I may eventually be able to use it in Manual mode! Viewfinder as well as display screen, ease of use, size and weight

Canon G15 bought from Shopping Square online – I bought my Canon G15 camera Feb 13 thru Shopping Square online. Talk about disgraceful service! My camera rear screen went faulty Jul 13, I returned to them, eventually by Oct 13 they claimed my camera was water damaged and I had to pay $90 for repair as not covered by warranty. Begrudgingly I paid and camera was returned to me by early Nov. (Although they sent me a photo supposedly showing water damage, I maintain I never had my camera near water nor should it ever had been damaged by water).

Within a fortnight rear display was faulty again, so I photographed rear screen (using my phone camera), sent photos of faulty display, camera and back to them by 29 Nov 13. They took until 10 Dec to acknowledge receipt of my camera and battery and claimed to have sent camera back to Manufacturer (not Canon Australia) / Repairer. Canon G15 should be a lovely camera

Canon G15 – Nice feel camera, noticeably lighter than the G12 but disappointedly lacking fold out LED display. Much quicker between shots than G12. Am hoping G17 will be released with fold out display to allow shots at ground level with ease, macro shots of low to ground photos too. Macro lens good. No fold out rear display
