Excellent – Its a great camera for the novice thu to pro. I have used it extensivly for the family happy snap and the professional photo shoot. Produces clear well focased images that are promotional quality. The combination of the tilt & twist screen and the optical view finder make for a very well rounded photographic system in a compact form. If you can't justify the expense and extra bulk of an SLR, the G6 is great value. Compact easy to hold shape.

Feature ritch, more like an SLR, so great for the semi-pro.

Uses high capacity SLR batteries and high speed compact flash memory.

Hot shoe mount for external flash and included wireless remote control is excellent.

Able to manual focus the lens via roll wheel.

Buttons well placed and functional. Can't change lens (But its not an SLR) so ya expect that.

Canon did not develop an underwater housing for it :(

Shutter lag is better than most compacts, But not as good as an SLR.

Excellent – I love it ! Beside the movie mode, everything is perfect ! A note about the movie mode - you just have to remember that this camera excells at what it is supposed to do, and that is take still photos. The movie mode is just an extra, but one day, I would like to see a camera of this calibre with a decent movie mode as well. Ergonomics - Excellent

Photo Quality - Excellent

Battery Charge Life - Excellent

Features - Too neumerous to mention... Movie mode - does 640x480, but for only 30 sec per movie. As well, cannot zoom or refocus or adjust exposure while filming.
