OK – It was my replacement for my olympus mju 410 4mp 3optical zoom so i anticipated quality much better as it had 8mp 10optical zoom however it was disapopinting. I dropped it hard on one of my holidays on a paved road which damaged the lens but is still in working condition with occasional "reset lens" errors. i dropped it a few times after that untill few days ago my husband dropped it on hard concrete. Now it has white lines running through the lcd.

I purchased it for a really good price so my regret didnt last long however i will not buy a canon for my next camera. Purchase price was in the 200 as it was a clearance item. The optical zoom was impressive and enjoyed the vid recording/play back with sound. The timer function was also useful. Night photos werent very impressisve as they would get grainy even though it has a flash. Compared to my olympus mju410 which only had 4mp 3optical zoom, it was never able to capture the same colour and life.

i had problems in the firt week with the lens which broke down and needed replacement (under warranty thankgod!)

Terrible – I will try NOT to buy a Canon next camera. When I said I wanted a new camera because I got the same error message three times they denied it was warranty even though it was the same fault The price. great zoom kept breaking down under warranty "Lens openening error" fixed but last time came back no warranty

Excellent – Great camera for a great price! Would definitely recommend this camera to friends and family. Even had a complete stranger at a recent football match comment on how fantastic the zoom on this little camera was! Easy to use. Point and shoot. Great pictures everytime. Fantastic zoom. The fact that there is no eye view finder - makes it difficult for when the sun is shining onto the screen.

Good – I would buy it again. The image would have to be one of the best for this money. The features are easy to use and the power usage on the batteries is very minimal. If you haggle for a good price you can get cheaper then RRP. very good camera, just works, typical canon. stability works well value for money in this range there is no eye view finder just the large screen. this makes it difficult if taking photos with back to the sun as the sun refects off the screen. 10x optical hard to work if it is not on a tripod as no eye piece to balance against your head
