I have been a loyal customer for years. 3 of my family bring our cars there. I have also referred multiple friends. Not anymore. The service used to be amazing at Bartons. Now it is the opposite. Staff are friendly and polite and I am sure all nice people but it is all lip service as when it comes down to it no one is capable of solving what should be a simple issue. I'm in a similar type of industry and we move mountains for our customers and don't make them hassle us to get a problem solved. The girl on the phone today([Name Removed]) even implied I am liar. That's when I got off the phone in disbelief. I will go else where to get this fault fixed finally and I will be complaining to everyone I can find as this is just not fair to do to your customers.

I purchased my car, a GWM Canon Ultra from Barton’s Capalaba. The sales side was acceptable, however the Service Department has left a lot to be desired. I booked my car in for a 1000 klm health check. The booking and reception was friendly and efficient experience.

However after this service I found the spare tyre dangling from its support under the car. I emailed the service department about my concern at the level of service and safety to our family and others. The service department has chosen not to respond to my concerns, so I have decided I cannot trust them to service my car. I have also emailed GWM Global about my concerns. It seems to me a simple response would have been reassuring to me and maybe kept me as a customer

Follow-up  · I’m looking at North Lakes GWM as an option or Jordan Raybeck (mobile mechanic). Gwm Global contacted me and said the loose spare was not acceptable. It was dangerous and had capacity to cause a terrible accident if it had come loose totally. They contacted Barton’s and they in turn rang me. Bartons were a little aggressive and defensive, stating that during their health check they don’t go near the spare tyre. I suggested perhaps they should, since it was a health check. They said maybe it was ratchet on the spare tyre that needed replacing. I’ve since done 3000 klms and the spare tyre is still secure after I tightened it. I believe that perhaps when the tow bar was attached the technician didn’t tighten the spare tyre.
