My happy times – Very understanding regarding my disability. So thankyou for that also quite flexible with inspections

Easy application and range of properties – We are a family of 5. Was able to secure a property coming from interstate without an issue. Any problems arising and Carmen with her team sorted it out the very next day. When we needed to upgrade our space Carmen found us a bigger place and secured it for us within the week. No issues with inspections and full bond returned without a hitch. More than happy to rent again.

Terrible liars – I found their service and accusations appalling when I vacated a property. I had the property professionally cleaned as well as the carpets professionally cleaned and that was still not good enough. They were downright rude and arrogant. And refused to assist me with queries regarding the property because they lied about photo’s I requested. Watch out if you rent through them.....!!

Rude, Unprofessional, deceitful – We rented off of Carmen's property management for 18 months. and we needed to deal with it, a leak in the laundry was dismissed and left to drip (causing wall rot). When we had finally had enough at the end of our lease we informed them we were moving on and they immediately started demanding to do an inspection during a work day without a given time, so we worked around them and did our clean up (which was very little) and had the inspection and we were told the house is in great shape and should be very simple to close off once we are out, on the closing inspection after we had done the thorough deep clean after the furniture was all out we are informed by Carmen the only way she will accept the house back is if we use THEIR cleaner as she claimed the property was professionally cleaned when we moved in which is a lie. we ended up being basically forced to pay 630 dollars for cleaning. and to be honest it was a very satisfying to spend the money as it meant my and my family were finished with Carmen's. Do not use these people. Avoid them.

Avoid avoid avoid - poor takeover of property and unrealistic expectations which required tribunal remedy – They took over the property we were renting through Professionals but failed to secure the DVD of photo evidence from the previous letting agent. On outgoing, they just used the sheet and didn't inform us that they had no photographic evidence (even though they knew we had a copy of the DVD-rom) and tried to bill us for $1263 of supposed damages.… Read more

After they finally admitted they had failed to get the DVD (two months after we had left the property and I had repeatedly asked them to compare the ingoing to outgoing images) , they accepted to reduce damages to $750 after reviewing the photos I sent them but were still claiming for chips and staining to the stone workbench top. Had to go to Tribunal who decided that we only had to pay them $230 and dismissed damage to the benchtop completely as fair wear and tear in a high traffic area (which it is!). They were also demanding $85 to replace two light bulbs - the member gave them 10$ per light bulb.

So that's $1263 claimed and $230 recovered by them. After their fee for representing the landlord at tribunal and the fee to apply to tribunal, I can imagine the landlord got very little money back.

If they had done a decent job at the beginning, sourced the photos and applied some common sense they would have saved everyone a lot of time and effort!

Don't hesitate to take them to NCAT tribunal if you're already renting from them and they are trying to overcharge you for damage (at no point did they acknowledge the concept of fair wear and tear). Know your rights, keep photographic evidence and avoid any property they are renting out. I've rented for over 20 years but never been faced with this low quality of care.
