Poor customer service and attitude – I was disappointed after my first dealing with Castlemaine Rod Shop. I purchased a Wilwood 7/8” Booster – Delete, Brake Master cylinder kit with adjustable proportioning valve to suit a HQ Holden. Initially, the kit arrived with firewall adapter, cylinder, bleed kit, proportioning bracket and valve. 1 The bolts supplied to fit the M/Cyl were too short 2 The push rod for the master cylinder was too short 3 The brake line flare nuts were not supplied (Kit?) 4 The clevis pin hole was the incorrect size and had to be modified. I checked with 3 other H series push rods and they were the same as mine 5 The replacement pushrod was too long and had to be shortened and re-threaded. 6 After phone calls and picture swapping, they could not tell me when they could rectify the incorrect parts. 7 The car was off the road for nearly 3 weeks instead of a day 8 No apology supplied by any staff I spoke to 9 You would expect a business such as theirs to know what a H series Holden would need Being a member of multiple car clubs (over 500 members) and an influence in them for correct technical advice, businesses like this forget about the negative impact poor sales will attract.
