Friendly Customer Service – I clumsily walked into my roller fly-screen. I phoned Centor and was put in touch with Brad who visited within the week and gave some much needed maintenance……the door is functioning as good as new. Brad knew his product and was determined to ensure the screen was fitting correctly…..excellent customer service.

Very expensive to repair – Recently had to have the cable repaired on my retractable screen after only three years , same experience as many others on this site $900 for two hours work and some stainless cable. This company is shooting itself in the foot by not getting involved with keeping some control over repair costs . Do not buy this product unless you are prepared to… Read more

pay through the nose for repairs which in all likelihood are unavoidable because of the fragile mechanism. Strongly suggest looking for alternatives.

Addition: Have had a call from the company which has been very positive , the problem with service etc is mainly to do with third party non approved sellers adding margins. The company itself is concerned about its image and suggested I contact them first before undertaking any further purchases/repairs

Screen is OK. Service is complete rubbish. Can't recommend – The product is fine, albeit pricey. On that front my only complaint would be that pets can walk straight under it, pulling the mesh out of the groove However the support is rubbish. They don't publish names of repairers so you're on your own. The mechanism in one of mine broke, and the quote for getting it repaired is simply insane ($900 flat… Read more

price no matter what is wrong)

Rang them just now and just got hold music for 10min then an offer to ring me back. Will they? Who knows. I'm not banking it it.

Why on earth they aren't interested in seeing a competitive list of repairers established is beyond me

So no, I would not recommend them

Further I just got another screen from a competitor installed (literally this morning, which is why I'm thinking about my expensive broken screen) which was cheaper and which is clearly a better design

Don't waste money. It's worse than useless! – Ordered big screen door centor S4 for my folding window. 1st contractor installed it and it doesn't work. The screen is not retracting back. Replace the screen core and 2nd contractor also cannot install it correctly. The weirdest thing is there is no official support or service from Centor. Now the screen is just an ugly decor around my window.… Read more

It's not functioning but no one can do anything about it. No service, no return, no one can install it correctly (or the product is never good). $4000 for a mess.

Absolutely useless – Have these screens installed at my house in Queensland. A fly could breathe on it and pull it out of the tracks. Absolutely rubbish product Show details

Deep pockets or handy – They are good to look at and yes when they are working they do the job well. BUT we have two double screens both are openings of almost 5m each , one gets used a little more than the other . The one that gets used most gets used 20 x day its our screen to our back yard/veranda and its now going on to 8 years. We are in Central Queensland, Mackay… Read more

and the nearest repair person is 350km away I know this because I've replaced the internal mechanical wired so many times I had enough a few wires ago so rang and tried to demand they send someone to fix it but again I did it myself. I have replaced the door spring wires about 10 times now and it's not a 5 minute job when every time you do it you have to remember how you did it last time. Usually the screen will stay broken for a few months untill you have the time without kids and a few beers in that you give it another crack. Getting wire from centor is another issue its like getting blood from a stone . My screens cost a fortune and I do the repairs myself you would think they would be grateful and hand over a kilometre or two of wire ( it adds up over the years) but no you have to first send 250 emails with photos and then get nasty ( boys if you don't have it get the wife to get nasty .......there all nasty) yes I havnt paid for any wire yet but honestly if your not mechanically minded or handy they will sting you every time you break a wire. From what I've seen it's not so much the design it's the wire they use. It's stainless steel wire with a plastic coating. The coating is for smooth operation through rollers and stainless for tensile strength. The problem is the coating becomes loose with operation and eventually tears and clumps on the wire and then jams in the rollers , when you give it a yank it breaks. If your aware of this you can pop a few covers and with a sharp blade slice of the clump and any of the loose coating and you will get months more use out of that wire but it will eventually break. Ok , I'm sure there's other products out there . Do your home work before investing thousands in an ongoing repair, yes when mine are working I love them when I have to fix them again I hate them. Centor if you read this ITS THE WIRE. FOR THE HUNDRETH TIME IN CASE YOU DIDNT READ THE EMAILS.

Worked well...until they didn't – Had 2 Centor screens installed (with a range of issues - see review for Monaro Windows). Within 5 years, the cables have snapped, making the screens inoperable. Show details

Don't waste your time even considering this product – Have looked at the product after sales service reviews and completely understand. Centor limit the suppliers that can get this product so even getting a proper quote is gut wrenching. They promote their product as something that will be suitable to attach to an existing bifold not true in all cases. In summery overpriced oversold keep searching as there are many better low cost and more appropriate solutions Show details

Great Product - Shame About Aftersales – Aftersales service for these screens is appalling. Call the company and they refer you back to installer, who refuse to answer calls. Centor won't even answer basic questions like colour options for replacing screens. A company really should stand behind their products, especially for the cost of them. Show details

Ideal addition to new homes or renovations – We have been using and installing the S4 centor screen in many of our projects both new homes and renovations. We have had no issues with installers or the quality of product. Clients have been wowed by the finished result. Well worth the addition to wide openings stacker or bi-fold doors. Essential product in the Australian environment that stands the test of time and aesthetically pleasing. Show details ·  1

Zero after sales Service. Zero Parts! – Purchased windows with Centor Screens. Have issues with screens now can not get parts. Centor refuse to service public direct, only through installers or window manufactures. Window manufacture (Tullamarine area) is apparently to busy to deal with warrenty issues. Centor Moorabbin refuse to help (lady on the phone very rude). They have also… Read more

Product is good. Service cost is outrageous! – I purchased a Centor retractable screen to fit into our new home. I actually love the screen. However, the company outsources the service and repair of its products (it seems usually to ex-employees) and does not set any prices for the repair of them. This leaves the service companies to charge whatever they like. I recently needed to have… Read more ·  1

my screen repaired which required 2 hours labour and a replacement of the wire/cord connecting the doors. I was charged $770 just for the repair!
