My bike is cfmoto 150nk and the engine symbol is blinking may i know the reason – My bike is cfmoto 150nk and the engine symbol is blinking may i know the reason and it runs smooth no issues at all. If anyone know please help me in this issue
Worst product with expensive parts, worst customer care and expensive service – Very bad in all. Never ever gonna buy this bike. Additionally service is worst. Parts are expensive no good service centre available in main city. Tried to talk to customer care and their ans was just sorry no solution and he disconnected the chat Show details
Great bike for learning and fun bike for the experienced – Very good bike been riding all my life and bought one these for my wife that wants to learn. Easy to manoeuvre nimble low seat height and simple plain motorbike. Easy to maintain like old school bikes. Easy to understand too. Even though I have powerful sport bikes I ride this occasionally and really enjoy the simplicity. Starts easy and very… Read more
reliable. Great fuel economy even when I ride it! And I weigh 95 kgs. Sometimes we even ride together and it still handles it! Great bike really enjoy it. Is water cooled and surprisingly 6 gears. In direct comparison to the Honda CB125E (which I also had) I would say this one is much better value for money. Much cheaper too.
The only drawback is some of the components quality are lacking but it's only minor parts.
If your thinking buying one - go for it!
cfmoto 400nk – generally its ok, however there have been a lot of small issues with quality. The rear brake keeps failing and requires re-bleeding every two weeks. The display console leaks in the rain and displays all sorts of all weird messages and warnings. The highbeam flicks everytime I pull the clutch in. Its been at the dealers for the above issues for a… Read more
month, looks like they are going to have it longer than I have, so while I'm happy with its general performance, I'm very disappointed with the above mentioned issues that make it basically unroadworth. Also not overly impressed with the dealership.
150 Leader. Great value for the money! – Have owned my 150 Leader for over two years. Bought it because it's specs are better than CB125. Main differences are the 150 Leader is just that, 150 so 25 more tarmack ripping cc's☺. Has 6 speed gearbox whereas CB has 5. Watercooled (impressive on a bike this size), compared to air and has a 16 litre tank compared to CB's 13 litre. 16 litres… Read more · 3
takes you a very long way on this little bike! I needed a cheap commuter and it's perfect. Like any bike, if you look after it, it will respond. Spares can be a few days wait but CFMoto seem to be here to stay. Did have after run in period, a slight wobble to the rear wheel bearing. This was however fixed no questions asked, under warranty A new wheel bearing was fitted and since then, no other issues. Most problems I hear about are due to lack of maintenance/neglect. I self maintain my bike (workshop manual available online) with regular oil/filter changes and brake bleeding etc and another often ignored item, checking and adjusting drive chain tension. As a result, I have done over 10 000 Ks, trouble free. Paint and finish still look factory fresh. Has been a perfectly reliable and very economical little commute scoot for so a modest sum of money (under $2500 on road) brand new. Love it!
was good 4 years later – they offer a 2year warranty BUT u will spent over $1700 if u do every services to keep this. its not worth it the hole bike onroad cost and all u can buy a new one with the $ u spend serving it exhaust is weak and baffle brake $600 to buy new one. $2000 for the hole bike the dash is angled perfectly to blind u in the sun if u live in… Read more
Australia maybe this is a latitude problem with the bike being made in china they dont get this
cheap cables bind up and seaze
most motorcycle dealers refuse to work on the bike from new due to the issues of no being the big 4 bike names they get stuck with custermers unhappy about broken parts the ones who do work on this bike brake the plastic fenders not knowing how to dissemble it.
and cfmoto asks for 3000km servic to keep the warranty when every other bike is 6000km
making it over priced in running costs
On my 4th CFMoto 150 Leader – I run a motorcycle hire business,[link removed] in Newcastle NSW and I bought my 1st Moto 150 along with a honda CB125 to compare. I have increased the CF Moto's to 3 (having on sold the 1st one) I find them to be sturdy and reliable. The only issue I've had with one bike was when a customer left the choke on while riding. A change of spark plug… Read more · 1
fixed that. Spares are readily available. They do exactly what's on the label. An inexpensive, reliable alternative to Honda's CB125.
Its Chinese I should of known better – Agree it's a piece of junk. I have a brand new one and after 400klms it does not run smooth at all. It keeps missing and jerking especially at lower speeds. I hate going around roundabouts and in slow traffic it's dangerous. Keep well away unless you want nothing but trouble.
CFMOTO 150 Never Buy – I just got it and it runs terrible. After every 1000-2000 Kms it gives some issues. Most of the times the bike does not run smooth. Always give missing. Stops in the middle of the road. Never buy guys. Kindly spend 500$ more and buy a nice motorbike.
Perfect motorbike – I purchased the CFMOTO 150cc over six weeks ago and I'm loving it. This bike is so fuel efficient not to mention the brilliance power of this small bike. The structure of the bike is naked and it looks like a fully well balanced bike. I purchased the bike second hand in Melbourne and I did have some problems with the indicators but all of it is… Read more
fixed now after the electrical system was rewired after an unfortunate crash the second day I got my bike. Did I mention that this bike is strong and tough and even after a 60 km/h collision, it still purrs and functions brilliantly. The motorbike can reach highway speeds and match the speed limits easily, I have seen the speedo tick over 135 km/h so it is pretty fast and you can overtake easily if you're in the right gear. I have no problem with the mirrors, they are quite good but the fuel gauge is deceiving, sometimes it drops down to empty even though the tank is full.
Unreliable motorcycles terrible compaq to dealings with – Be warned. This bike has been discontinued because of major failures and has been taken to court for faulty motorcycle parts and for not fixing the problems under warranty. Stay away from this brand very nasty.
Amazing how long a 2500 dollar bio can last – I got this bike as a gift from my girlfriend almost 4 years ago and have ridden it daily since, longer and shorter commutes (25-35min, 30k/day) and have racked up almost 50000km on this bike. One new back tire (still the same on front), and some tiny stuff along the way but mostly very reliable. I haven't even been the kindest to this bike. Only… Read more
lately things breaking have started to make me think of replacing it. So quite good value for money if you ask me.
- rear light regularly blew
- the part of the frame with the bracket to the gear shift leaver broke off (had to have it re-welded)
- clutch cable broke on both ends and needed replacing
- as it's outside every day in a heavy rain storm water had gotten to the spark plug, then while trying to start it I drained the battery and had to replace that later
That's all. In 4 years that's not too much to complain about. Not the coolest looking bike, but ideal through busy traffic, lane splitting and filtering. Passed many a big bike on the road that was stuck. I'm 180cm tall, 90kg. Yeah, power is lacking, uphill or into the wind you're a bit like a tool on a clear road, but keeps me from speeding...
u get what u pay for – Good starting bike for learners, your better off starting to ride a motorbike like this than a more powerful bike and hurting your self. Don't get ahead of your self If u have zero experience ,Perfect for beginers. I love my cfmot 150 for what it is. It's not a Ducati and it will never b One. So don't get it twisted. going to be slow and borrowing the key point is to learn your basics then upgrade when u r ready, this is good value for money brand new for under $2500. Nothing else on the market for this value. Nothing.....
It's perfect for riding on 50- 70 kmh zones . It's fine to go on the freeway for one or few exits, but not for constant freeway driving, it's Got heaps of power to maintain 100-110 kmh but cause of tires r thin and bad brakes it's only suitable if u need to use freeway of short period of time. Perfect for out of freeways... very easy to learn on, not heavy ,simple bike, Big tank, 2 year warranty stress free. put petrol and go :) value for money, the gear display gauge is very usefully when learning your gears.cheap parts If u buy online, once warranty expires this bike is so easy to maintain yourself reminds me of my bicycle lol, good head light and very big Back brake lights and Big indicators which Too me is so important, all cars on the road can see you not like sum other mbikes I see on the road which u can't even tell if they r turning or braking etc. Big plus I think. brakes and tires r not the best, then again it's a suburban learning bike and u should not be Speeding or doing silly things on the road cause u will get hurt.Too check your water levels radiator etc is not the easiest as u need to unscrew a side panel but saying that if u buy brand new u should have zero problems and if it stuffs up its under warranty.

Hoon on this bike without worrying about police – When I got clipped by a car on a roundabout, my ZX6R wound up without a muffler. Unroadworthy. I do shiftwork. I needed transport. Cheap transport. NOW! With a 2m, 110kg bloke on the back of it, this bike will accelerate like a small car with 5 fat occupants, do up to the speed limit on Metropolitan roads and freeways and handle like a BMX… Read more
while using 1L per 30km
You will need to downshift to 5th in order to maintain 100 going up a hill or into a headwind, but it will keep up to 100.
In wet conditions, this bike slides out from under you at 25km/hr.
Stopping power comes from downshifting. Trust the brakes on this bike at your own peril.
The power on this bike is laughable.
If you want to focus on flat-chat riding where you're spotting your brake points, getting maximum speed through corners without low-siding, picking the gear for max power coming out of the corners, you could spend $300 taking your sports bike to track day or just ride this one to work.
I notched up 800km in 3 days and will not be on-selling this bike like I was planning to.
No, it is not going to become my main ride, but I will be pushing this bike to its limit to and from the shops around the corner whenever I run out milk. You can push it hard around suburban streets Grip (-less brakes and tyres)
Great bike to begin with – I had mine for over a year now, and have done just over 8,000 ks on it. Mine is the 2010 version and have been very happy with it from day dot. No it's no Harley, but if you want a bike that you put the key in, kick the starter and ride off, this is it. Mods I've done for mine is a 48L hard top box (able to have 2 boxes of 36 cands of coke) and… Read more
bigger mirror arms.
The thing I love most of it, it costs me $21~$24.00 to fuel up, and get just over 500K's out of a tank. With some longer riding, and good presure in the tyres, I got to 640K's out of a tank. Very happy. Great of Fuel, tyres are inexpensive and can ride it for ages. Mirror arms are not made for "bigger" people. Had to upgrade to some with longer arms.
Great value for a decent ride – My personal situation is that I have had a few different bikes over the years (have full license). This ranged from a Virago 250 up to a VFR 800 (all Japs). For the past few years, I have been bikeless and been itching to go for some rides. I have heard of China made motorcycles on the scene since my time, and have always been a bit… Read more · 1
skeptical. I had a little idea of what I want in the next bike (physically small and budget), but felt I could live with anything from 250 to 600cc.
Then I saw the CF Moto Leader 150 available for a bargain. It had done very low K's (500) and may or may not be still under warranty. A quick test ride, and a couple things came to mind;
1. Even a 150 would put a smile on my face
2. Brakes were not great
3. The lightness and nimbleness of the bike is great
So, knowing it will be a compromise, I handed over the measly amount of cash, and rode away. Since then, I have ridden 400 kms in the last few days and can have the following observations.
The little machine can still put a smile on my face. The little single cylinder 4 stroke water cooled 150cc engine is perfectly smooth for what it is. The gear box is a very tidy unit with no clunking or miss shifts. Overall, the power delivery from first gear to fourth is decent. I would even say it was better than my Honda Shadow VT600. Not as quick, but it was smoother.
Comfort when stopped is good. The water cooled bike is not too hot to straddle on a long red light. The saddle does tend to push the rider far forward into the tank, and it is difficult to keep your rear end towards the back of the bike. It would have been better if the saddle slope less towards the front. The mirrors are useless. Even without a big shoulder and riding without bulky jacket, it is near impossible to see anything at the back on a straight road. Even tilting the bike/body/head to look in the mirror is difficult.
If you wish to slow down using just the rear brakes, I recommend that you proceed to put down both your heels to the tarmac Flintstones style!! Seriously, the rear drum brake on my bike is useless. Thankfully, the front disc is very decent. I would compare it against the Shadow 600 and Virago 250 I had and rate the fronts to be as good.
The upright position, lightness and skinny tyres of this bike makes it very maneuverable. Probably as easy as a postie bike, but yet still look like a full motorcycle. It is a great bike in traffic (apart from the mirrors), and would be great for lane splitting. On the freeway at 110kph indicated (about 100 real), it is surprisingly steady, although there would be no more capacity for any overtaking. At this speed, you won't even have to crouch down, and would just use your knees on the tank to reduce any vibrations.
Other random points I would note are;
- The clutch lever has a bit of play up and down. When pulling in the clutch, it can push down on the high beam passing switch. Not too bad really as when changing gears, it can look like you are flashing at cages to warn them of your approach ;)
- The side-stand came standard to auto-retract. It does come with adjustment to move the springs so that it stays down which is a nice touch.
- So far, it is not using any fuel. There had been occasions where I wondered if the tank gauge (yes it has one) is working as it would not move down.
- There is a gear indicator. However, it is centered with the key between the rider's line of sight. So, if you need to see it, the key is blocking it.
Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and still cannot believe the bargain a bike like this is. It feels very closely as solid as my previous Japanese small bike. Not quite the level of a Honda VFR. Inexpensive, better engine/gearing than expected, looks OK for small bike Mirrors, rear brakes
Good cheap bike, but spring loaded kickstand is horrible – Good cheap bike, smooth handling, take corners very well, barely uses any fuel, not too heavy, perfect learners bike, probably needs more power & acceleration. It does vibrate though the handle bars, fuel injection & abs braking would have been a great option. The main issue is the spring loaded kickstand; hard to use when your on the bike as it… Read more · 1
wont stay down. As a small lady rider its quite a hassle to get to get off your bike then put your kickstand down. Been wanting a replacement from day one to a standard kickstand, so far to the best of my knowledge there is none for this model. This really should be an option. Cheap, reliable, uses hardly any fuel, & corners perfectly. Spring loaded kickstand was a 'bad option,' a standard one would have been better.
YOU WILL WAIT FOR PARTS..Garrunteed!!!! – Now had mine 2 years and its never been a 100% complete bike as I have always been waiting for my dealer to get warranty parts in...He's frustrated and so am I. Would'nt idle..exhaust valve had no clearance after just 500kms and is hard to get at and dealer said it was a routine maintainence job requiring me to pay 1 hrs labour!!!
I got what i paid for and never again will i fall for a cheap price..it goes, it stops but has absolutely NO SOUL and I doubt now its out of warranty will never ever be 100% complete...
Would I buy the 650 clone, just out....NEVER EVER. Looked good. Cheap Build, no attention to detail, poor quality control.
Great bang for your buck – With all the stickers peeled off.... from a distance.... someone would think its a much more expensive bike. Goes great, very zippy little 150cc water cooled. keeps up with friends 250cc water cooled bike. For the price you cant beat it. It does have the expected rattles and cheap build quality but nothing that bad. Would i recommend buying one,… Read more
Yes. $2500 brand new on road :) Fast for a 150cc, great looks, great price, Awesome little bike Cheap build quality, creaks and rattles at high revs,
everyday ride – I have ridden this little bike to work daily since new, and has never let me down,I disregarded the warranty as I like to service my bikes myself, lets face it , you risk yourself when riding it, you should know what makes it tick, I have had many new and much bigger bikes, but this little gem is great. It corners well for a bike with skinny… Read more
tires, even looks good, the motor is quiet. The coolant bottle was an afterthought, but it hardley uses any, so not a problem.
I would recommend going over it as soon as you get it home, you may need to tighten a few bolts here and there.
I love it. Very reliable, responsive, inexpensive. Front light blew the first day.
Cheap and solid bike (so far) – I bought this motorbike four months ago and rode over 3500 kms since. Because it's a cheap bike, I was afraid of getting a unreliable and shitty one that would break down. Now, I got a couple of troubles with it (a slow leak at the very beginning, a minor clutch problem too) but I ride every day to commute to work (50 kms per day, including some… Read more
freeway sections) and so far, she's being doing great. I'm not sure if she'll last forever, but I'd say it's a good value. She's sometimes a bit unstable but having said that, riding at 90 km/h is not a problem. Super low fuel consumption too (400 kms with a 15 fuel tank). Inexpensive, low fuel consumption sometimes a bit unstable
Very good learner bike – This bike was originally marketed as having a 4 valve engine. When I notified the Melbourne importer that this is in fact a 2 valve engine and that their brochures misrepresent the bike, they corrected their website within minutes. Some dealers are still advertising the CF150A Leader as having a 4 valve engine. These dealers risk prosecution by… Read more

Now back to the bike... When I got it, it almost immediately started to leak coolant at three places on the engine. I decided to fix it myself as the dealer where I got the bike from was 250km away. Draining the coolant out and fixing the actual leaks with a some gasket maker was easy, but the design of the bike made the refill of the coolant a big job. The coolant bottle is located underneath the fuel tank and there is no way to reach it for even a top-up without removing the fuel tank. This is a big job, which involves removing the seat, the plastic side covers, the front covers, the fuel line, the fuel breather line, the fuel gauge wire and then the tank itself. All this effort to get to the little coolant container which holds about a cup of liquid. Very poor design for something that should be easy to access.
The bike is running fine, the gears are sometimes hard to find - 1st and 2nd are at times missing which can be a real headache in traffic - the exhaust sounds like a posties bike, the rear brake makes a lot of noise while the front brake is great. The seat is hard and feels like a rock after half an hour on it.
The fuel consumption is fantastic - much better that I expected. With all this talk of going green, saving fuel etc, a small bike or scooter is the way to go for all these short trips where a car's engine never heats up properly.
I would recommend it as it is better quality than the other cheap Chinese bikes in this class and a lot cheaper than any Japanese bike. Even if its 2nd hand value falls to nil, you will still be loose less that the normal depreciation on a Japanese bike. It is narrow - gets in and out through a small gate. Very economical to run. Nice gear indicator on the dash. Drum brake at the rear. Stupid placement of the coolant bottle. Rattles like hell at speeds over 60km/h
I have one of these bikes and it is great, but can someone please tell me how to get the clutch… Read more (+2 replies)
Good bike, could improve on some points – In the four months since I purchased this bike I've put 6500km on it and have encountered the following: On the way home from dealer the exhaust guard came off, obviously hadn't been screwed on properly. An easy problem to fix but not great after having ridden it barely 5km. The left mirror fell off while riding, glue could be better quality.… Read more
Right mirror looks like it's about to drop as well but again an easy fix (if you don't mind carrying super glue in your pack for when it does fall off)
The back light of the speedo flickers on and off.
The front globe has already died.
The left grip has come loose.
The engine sometimes struggles to start but once it gets going it is fine, the choke just seems to kill the engine.
The speedo didn't seem all that accurate at first, especially over 80km that and the rev counter can bounce around a bit.
In saying all this it is a fantastic bike fuel economy wise, which is the main reason I use it. You get more than 450km a fill up. The problems I've encountered have no doubt been exacerbated by my riding it flat out at times (it does do 110 ok and pushes 120). Bottom line is except to get what you pay for and you'll be doing fine.
Oh and the free jacket is pretty good too warmth wise but offers pretty ordinary protection.
