Chanel N°19

No one knows what I'm wearing but everyone compliments me – Chanel No 19 gets better as it opens up and then fades gracefully away. This is a very different, very sophisticated perfume that attracts attention and is not overused. I love it.
OK – I read that Chanel wanted to appeal to younger women and hence Chanel No. 19. This fits with my view. It's very different to No. 5 which has strong floral notes. No. 19 must have been quite radical in the 1970s, being quite dry and green, and even now it hasn't been copied as far as I know. This perfume is very fresh and green with a nice touch of complex undertones. Somehow to me it evokes steadiness and strength. I used to wear No. 19 to work because of this, and because it's not "girly" at all. I like the fact that it's the last one that Coco Chanel actually approved personally: all the others since then were created by her staff as she passed away before any others were developed for sale. It used to be my all time favourite for years. However lately I've noticed that the scent disappears, at least to me, soon after putting it on. I never get complimented for wearing it so others don't seem to notice it as well. I don't know whether it's always been like this and I just didn't notice or whether this has changed over time.
Excellent – I liked this perfume very much, it isnt over powering and it certainly smells of money and elegance. if you have money you will know what i am talking about it has a air of sophistication, one that stays with you day or night wear. I am glad I am apersn who can wear many perfumes but this one there wouldnt be many who couldnt wear it as it is gentle, it is playful, sexy and yes elegant. Not over powering as stated but just enough for the person beside you to note that it is a truly lovely smell. The unforgettable smellof elegance and sofistication is always nice, but when you dont have to re spray then its nicer, just one spray walk through and your done for the day. Elegance at simply its best. Nothing at all.
