Awesome whipper snipper , made by Victa I suspect the negative reviews as they all relate to starting issues either come from people who have not let the motor run in long enough on the first start or don't know how to use a choke ! These are excellent value for money Show details

Follow-up  · She's a beauty mate starts first pull , good power nice whipper snipper to use

I bought this trimmer from Bunnings. Have used it a few times and had no problem starting it. It does a great job, and was reasonably priced! Show details

This is a great line trimmer with no problems starting it. As with most small 2 stroke engines, they can "flood" if over-primed or if over choked. This one starts easily if you follow the instructions. Follow the advise on this linked video and you can not go wrong. BTW; Victa manufactures these, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejQyXkPeRTg Show details

Follow-up  · Nothing has changed since my original review. This is a GREAT line trimmer. It still starts very easily. Only thing to add, is to use thicker trimmer line and reposition the trimmer line cutter to the outer position.

I bought one of these on 24/11/2024 at Bunnings for $149, so have had it long enough for worthy comment and it's ALL GOOD! The trimmer is a strong one, easy to start, has lots of power, and is very economical. I use it on a 800+ sqm yard on a weekly basis and have no complaints about it at all. Show details

First start – First run: As per instructions gave fast idle on second pull. let alone to that to warm up for a minute then cut throttle setting to as bought idle. Very stable and without the head spinning so it has a clutch. I ran it out of fuel to put it away. It seems very powerful and returns to idle smartly when the throttle is released. I hope it lasts.… Read more ·  1

It feels as good as a very old Home-lite I spent years wearing out. Much better than a Riobi which from new exhibited fuel starvation. Having with inaccessible tuning screws so it is junk.

Not Fit to be on a Bunnings Shelf – Bunnings own brand Cheetah 2 stroke line trimmer. Engine doesn’t start at all. Failures nationwide and Bunnings still keeping the model on the shelf. When we took it back, they made the team leader from the mower dept pull the engine down to get engine to start. When he first come over to the counter, he said “not another one of these” and just… Read more

shook his head. Bunnings have bought in a cheap Chinese model as their own brand and it has failed. Do not go near this line trimmer.
