Absolute garbage. Its amazing this cooker could pass Australian standards. Tenants nightmare!, slumlords dream!(from just $530). *No indicator light to show stove tops are on. *No light inside oven, you will need a torch. *Can't use grill & oven at same time. *No timer. *No temp variation on grill, don't leave your grilled cheese unattended,… Read more
you'll burn your house down. *Stove tops take for ever to heat up & for ever to cool down, keep kids clear for at least an hour after turning off. *Dials become scolding hot when using grill. *corrodes within weeks. The oven is barely capable of heating up food, impossible to cook or bake anything. Can't even heat up taco shells without burning ends & leaving the middle raw. Dangerous and useless. Specifically designed for slumlords to comply with tenancy laws of providing a oven.
Poorly designed impractical oven – The grill and oven are combined which means you can only use one or the other as you have to keep the door open when grilling, because of this and even when only using the oven the knobs become too hot to touch. The top plates are small and slow. There is no timer. All in all a very poor design. Impractical and difficult to cook with. I would not recommend. Show details
Worst ever – On 5 the stove tops burn food, on 4 they never heat the food up. No light to indicate if stove top is on or not and the dials are too easy for children to reach. Wish I spent the extra money and bought thr next stove up in price.this one is absolute sufference. And mum told me afterwards that the stove tops on these rust out and can't be replaced Show details
The worst oven ever – The worst oven ever. The bottom element is underneath the oven plate. There is no such thing as the heat evenly distributed. The bottom doesn’t heat up enough to cook anything. What you have is one giant grill that burns the top of your food. Don’t waste your money on this oven. It’s difficult to clean. All round dud.
Dangerous stove – Don't ever buy a stove with inside oven grill! Used mine last night for first time. & lamb chops caught fire putting whole house at risk of burning down! Smoke began coming up from oven & upon opening, flames jumped out at me. There is no various heats to adjust grill as in grills that are separate from oven. My housemate tried put flames out… Read more
& eventually knocked chops off the grill which fell on open oven door. Flames were extinguished luckily! It is so dangerous to cook as door is closed as instructed. Smoke alarms were set off through house & took some time to clear. Needless to say this 4 month old stove is being picked up by scap merchants tomorrow & a new Westinghouse stove is replacing it asp. So be warned!
Worst oven I've ever used – Grill turns on and can't be disabled..so if you want to cook at over 160 be sure you like your food BURNT on top by the grill..Worst oven I've ever used..And I mean EVER, takes forever to heat and then the bonus grill you don't want..am asking owner to replace it with a real oven..It's ruining my joy of cooking. Basic rental/investment oven/stovetop that doesn’t do what normal ovens usually do. Useless – Having lived in a few rentals I’ve come to recognize the old chef stove sitting there wedged into the cheap cabinets ( or not at all ) in all it’s white glory. It’s usually on a slant, the dials are a bit sticky and have missing numbers, temps and function symbols. If you’re lucky it will have a fan and if you’re beyond lucky - a light. That’s so… Read more
you can see in the oven while it’s cooking. Who on earth needs that? We just got a new chef when the one in our rental decided to ignore the thermostat and go nuclear on the food. It was from a tip shop and the landlord replaced our other one with that one. Now we have this splendid piece of rubbish. No fan. No light. The larger stove top dial is at the back and there are three others about 10-15cm across. Warning - instructions say to place pots that only fit the size of these hobs. So I guess it’s time to throw out the wok and the fry pan because renters don’t use them anyway. The oven needs preheating for thirty minutes and even after that pre heat time at 250 degrees it only feels balmy and roast vegetables aren’t even dry and heated. The oven just isn’t hot. As I said - I’ve had a few rentals and ovens but this one is the absolute worst one ever. Avoid!
Terrible design – This oven had no fan, light or timer. It takes 30 mins to preheat. The grill is inside the oven and you can't use the oven with the grill tray in or use both grill and oven at the same time, which is really annoying. You have to grill with the door closed so you can't see what you are grilling. Show details
Love this stove – I brought this last month to replace another brand stove which was a complete failure. It has being many years since I have used a convection stove. Heats up well plenty of room inside and very easy to clean. Price point is excellent . The customer service are excellent to deal with. Only 1 negative is there is no light inside the oven. Recommend buy of 2021 Show details
Buy this stove if you want to burn your house down – I purchased this stove 7 years ago (530) to replace the 25yo one in my house (which was still in perfect working order). This Chef took forever to heat up and twice as long to cool down - my toaster actually caught on fire from sitting next to it one evening after use!. Despite using the expensive spray for the solid hobs, they kept rusting out.… Read more
Within 12 months the hobs were glowing red hot and were unusable. The oven...very average and cooking times longer than recipes called for. Much to my disgust, the base of the oven interior rusted out within 2 years, leaving a gaping hole! As I have lived alone for 5 of those 7 years, it had very little use. These last two years I have done my cooking on a $20 camp stove, electric frypan and BBQ as I cannot afford to replace this dangerous item.
Value for money – Very happy with the purchase for our investment property. Its easy to use, has sleek looks. Food gets cooked evenly on cooktop as well as oven. The 2yr warranty is the cherry to top it off Show details
You can fire up several pots and pans at once with its 4 burners – This Chef upright cooker is an electric powered oven. The front controls enable you to set baking times and more. The upright cooker features a white finish and a 73-liter capacity. The focal point of my kitchen thanks to this Chef upright cooker.
