A fairly mediocre oven with one terrible flaw that takes it from mediocre to “avoid at all costs” - there are no lights to indicate that the stove is on!! Given the lack of indicator, and the solid flat hotplates (which don’t glow when they are hot like a coil would) it is incredibly easy to not notice that you forgot to turn the stove off!! VERY DANGEROUS!!!

Entertaining cooking for your family – If you like entertaining your family, guests or just bored this oven is for you. And have a swear jar handy! This stove needs a 10min lead time to use the stove top. Then you will be on the hop as you try to stop things boiling over and burning. Dancing back and forth as items won't simmer at wanted temp then boil over as the hotplates are now too hot and won't cool down. Only way to stop is lift pots off stove...DANGEROUS when full of boiling water. Knobs have fixed settings that are useless to get simmering right. For no reason should you buy this CHEF oven. Even the grill is terrible to use. Spend a few more $$ on a Westinghouse Coil top Oven/Grill combo to save time and stress. We took our CHEF to the Rubbish Dump after 1 year old and bought the coil top mentioned. Also the CHEF food catching heat vents and ability for boil overs / spills to go down back into Mains wiring is priceless.

Worst kitchen appliance ever – Bought this oven brand new from a local H/N store 8 months ago. We knew it was a basic unit...not realising how really awful this unit is. The elements perform differently from each other...either burn everything or do not produce sufficient heat. Response to heat settings is unreliable...ie. you'd think that lowering heat setting would respond accordingly...takes absolutely ages...necessitating removing pot entirely... Just burnt the bottom of a carefully made Mango chutney ...in a quality stainless steel pot while on medium heat ....grrrrrrrr! Avoid buying this rubbish...
