  Tiggo 7 T1E Pro Urban

I am writing this review to detail a significant issue with my new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and the complete failure of the dealership and manufacturer to provide reasonable customer support or spare parts. 1. closed. This is a safety and functionality issue, as the only way to open the boot is by using the manual internal release.

2. Unacceptable Service Delay

I took the vehicle to Chery in Chullora for repair under warranty. The timeline for a basic sensor/latch replacement is staggering:

Initial Advice: I was told there were no spare parts in Australia and the part would take 4 weeks to arrive.

The Follow-Up: After the 4 weeks passed, I contacted them for an update, only to be told the delay was extended by another 5 weeks, bringing the total expected wait time to 9+ weeks for a single component.

This level of delay for a critical part on a new vehicle is unacceptable and constitutes a breach of the consumer guarantee regarding the availability of spare parts within a reasonable time under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

3. Manufacturer Failure

I escalated this issue directly to Chery Head Office to expedite the part. They indicated they would follow up, but they have provided zero actual updates or resolution. The lack of urgency and communication from Chery Australia is appalling.

4. Warning to Future Buyers

If you are considering a Chery, please be aware that the local support infrastructure appears non-existent. If your car breaks, expect delays exceeding two months. This experience confirms that the brand does not hold adequate spare parts stock in Australia or have an effective internal system for dealing with warranty repairs.

I have lodged a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading to resolve this. Buyers deserve better quality and immediate support for new cars. Avoid this brand until their spare parts supply chain and customer service dramatically improve.
