I have had this washer for 4 months, extremely noisy spinning and outlet hose clip came off & flooded my whole unit, 4 days later still waiting for Chiq repair team to contact me & turn up...mean while, I'm living in a swimming pool...the damage caused is extensive.

Purchased after our Samsung washer unexpectedly died. It was inexpensive, and I urgently needed something to tide us over. Although compact and easy to use, it isn't really designed for heavy soiling. It seems to have trouble removing majority of staining out of my kids clothes (even with napisan/stain treatment spray), and basically just swishes the clothes around the machine without any real force. Also no soaking function to allow for adequate stain removal. Would probably be more appropriate for someone living alone or a couple, but isn't really ideal for homes with kids/pets. Don't expect much for the price

Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $394.

I bought the washer for my tenant in March/2025 and it stopped operation according my tenant in July/2025. You be the judge how good it is. Thank goodness that it was still under warranty. I have never tried any CHIQ products before. I am willing to give anything a go. In the future I might try Haier or Hisense. The last machine I installed that was broken down was made by Westinghouse. I thought it was bad that it only lasted for about 2 years, CHIQ is even worse!

Follow-up  · The washer was installed for my tenant, I do not have any idea why it stopped working. Fortunately, it was about 3 months old, so it was still under standard warranty. The washers are not as reliable as other white goods, I might have to take out extended warranty up to 3 years next time.

Morning Bill, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re very sorry to hear that your washing machine experienced an issue so soon after purchase — we completely understand how frustrating that would be for both you and your tenant.

We’re glad to hear the unit was still within warranty and that support was available, but we’d also like to reassure you that this isn’t the typical experience with our washers. We continuously review warranty cases to improve quality and reliability across all CHiQ products.

If you’d like, please reach out to our customer care team with your case details so we can ensure the matter was resolved to your satisfaction. We value your openness to giving our brand a try, and we hope we’ll have the opportunity to provide you with a more positive experience in the future.

Size does matter.Being just two in a granny flat we needed a simple to operate top loading washing machine so we chose the Chiq WTL63FDG in gunmetal colour. The set up was easy and control very user friendly. (We are in our 70s) Easy select program and water levels. Would recommend for single or small family with limited space for a machine.
