Chux Non-Scratch Scourer
11 reviews
I used to love these sponges and had a steady supply ready to go (my only sponge choice for many years). Something has changed and they wear out very quickly with the scourer part starting to separate after only one wash. I thought I must have had a bad batch but nope the new ones I purchased are exactly the same. Very dissapointing. The photo attached is after one dinner's worth of washing up for only 2 people. Disgraceful quality – These sponges are such a waste of money. Like everyone else has said they seperate within less than a week sometimes only 3 days as is the case in the photo. Won’t be buying these again. Pick up your game Chux! Show details
Rubbish Chux sponge – My last three chux sponge/scourers separated in under a week. This is a new problem and it’s happened three times in three weeks. I opened up a new sponge yesterday and it began separating immediately. I don’t know what’s going on but it’s really poor form, environmentally unsound and waste of money. Show details
Lousy Chinese Quality – Scourer separates from sponge within a week. Been buying them for years. This is only a recent problem. They are a waste of money. Don't buy them under any circumstances. Chux. Let me know when you make them in Australia and I'll return. If not australia then anywhere but China where the quality will give value for money. Show details
A disappointing product – I have brought several of the Chux non-scratch scourers as I like the quality of the sponge however the fact that the scouring pad separates so quickly from the sponge makes it a waste of money and environmentally a nightmare. Did they change their glue? Please fix this problem. I will have to change to another company. Show details
Sustainable a great step but not great quality – It’s great they are using more enviro friendly materials but the sponge starts falling apart a month of usage. Other scourers I’ve used have lasted At least 2-3 before needing replacement. Show details
Doesn’t last a week – I left Chux 3 years ago as I found the scourer broke away from the sponge within one week of normal washing. Thought I’d come back and see if anything had changed a week ago... nope. I’m not sure how this brand has survived with such a poor product. Back to ScotchBrite I go. Show details
Disappointed – Used for years .. loved the non scratch sponges ... recently have had to throw away after a few uses .. NOT HAPPY.. scourer just breaks away from sponge and falls to bits !!!! Show details
So disappointed – I have bought this product for quite a few years and have been happy. Recently it was on special at the supermarket so I bought extras. As soon as I started washing a plate the scourer started to separate from the sponge. It fell off after about five minutes. I continued to use the sponge and as I washed a strainer it started to disintegrate and break away. These are now in the bin and I’m looking for a different brand. Show details
Really bad – I can't believe I'm reviewing a sponge, but honestly I feel like I have to alert the next sponge buyers. I bought this sponge because was on sale, 3$ for 2. I thought "if that's the price on sale it must be a good sponge". No. It's not. One sponge lasted 2 washing. TWO! Plus it releases fluff everywhere. If I had lost my 3 dollars on the street I would have been happier.
The only one that works – Well I need a non scratch scouring pad for the harder to clean items when doing the dishes. I have tried non-scratch generic pads from Aldi, Coles and Woolworths, none of which work. I then tried the more expensive Chux and "Perfect"!! This product not only cleans very well, does not scratch and as a bonus, lasts WAY longer than those previously tried. So in fact they are not more expensive, they work out a lot cheaper.
