185 Ultra – I personally know that cig welders are really the best product. I’ve just upgraded to the new 185 ultra welder and paid quick a price for it. Knowing it won’t disappoint, I think it would even be better if the pack came with a set of gloves and a helmet. Broken down 3 times – Was nice machine however broken down 3 times still under warranty... have been waiting a week to hear back.. cigweld more interested in palming me off to the place of purchase.. meanwhile I'm still down my welder with an increasing work load not to mention frustrated mangment at my work place, could cost me my job. Show details

Wire keeps burning back in drive rollers – Had this model for nearly two years. Nothing on my old lincoln mig welder. Welds okay have wire speed and amps set correctly. Keeps fusing back in drive rollers have to re thread through power lead. Very time consuming. Happens up to 5 times over 3 hrs welding. I don't like the delayed wire speed it has. Starts off slow than powers away. Cheers can anyone give me some technical advice. Show details

Stick function did not work. Replacement machine had same problem – Bought this machine for range of functions and being a 10amp plug. Removed from box to try and easiest set up was to use the stick function. I discovered there was no power to the electrode, not even a hint of a spark no matter what I tried, which even included tapping the electrode holder against the earth clamp! was with the machine. I took it back and it was replaced and the same issue was discovered with the second machine of which I returned. At least I got my money back. I then bought a different brand of welder and that works perfectly. I was told I would be kept informed when the problem was discovered. I never heard a thing. So if you have one of these machines and have not used the stick or electrode function make sure you do as there maybe this issue in more than the two I tried.

Had nothing but problems – Like the title says had nothing but dramas with this machine, inconsistent wire feed and problems with the gas solenoid valve not activating when pressing the trigger, what made it worse was calling up cigwelds “customer support” who tell me they can’t help but to send it back to the store you purchased.
