I made a mistake to chose Cogent Legal to represent me, for me to spend large sums of $7554.10 for the soulless solicitors. As a solicitor firm requested deposit in the trust total of $7640 to take legal action against a terrible building company. By the end I was charged by the solicitor the total of $7554.10 and the remaining balance that was return to me was $85.90. The solicitor was not able to recover any losses that I the client incurred from the bad builder. Instead I incurred more financial cost from this legal firm. The firm did not contact me for many months and waited until I reach out constantly to ask for updates so that they can charge me for contacting the firm. The firm also charge me for calls by the solicitor that I don’t pick up. The firm also kept writing expensive ineffective letters to the builders even though the builder don’t responds, until $7554.10 in the trust are used up.

I believe that before drafting claim and statement of claim to take to court, a solicitor should have the responsibility to conduct an asic check first to make sure that the builder company is not liquidated. So that the client does not incurred unnecessary charge of $1485. This $1485 is what the solicitor charge me to write an unusable piece of draft pdf. After drafting the letter the firm then email me that the firm checked asic on the building company and don’t recommended to take this draft letter to court to pursue the builder as the builder company already been liquidated 3 months prior. The result I receive from this firm is even more financial loss. This firm is soulless. I say everything with accuracy. I even receive a deed to settle with the final invoice to be refund. Which I shouldn’t have been charged with to begin with as the place already was liquidated many months prior. To try to get me to remove my honest review about my experience with Cogent Legal Google. I have not agreed to this minimal amount that Cogent Legal try to settle with as I am unhappy with many more of the charges such as the charge for unanswered calls. See my reference photos. I did not want to have to post little details but you aren’t honest when saying that my review are inaccurate. I have the right to stay anonymous in the public. Cogent Legal already know who I am and try to settle deed with me for the minimal sums of $1485 to remove this honest review about being charged the total sum of $7554.10. I’m unhappy about many of the service here and your response to disregard my review.
