Easy to set up & take down but floor ripped after one use even with a tarp underneath and pitched on grass and isn’t covered under warranty so is poor quality.

Purchased in for $250.

The tent is fine - you need to understand the difference between rain getting in and condensation! – The tent does a perfectly good job at keeping rain out. When the fly touches the inner it means less air circulation and thus condensation (not rain getting in). And yes that is annoying but it is very limited and nothing like water leaking in because of rain. The condensation can occur even if there is no rain, although the more humid air would mean more likely condensation. The condensation is almost eliminated if the side windows and back vent are used to good effect. So the swagger is NOT a fail.

It does lose a star for space limitations imposed by the inner sagging inwards despite setting the tent up properly. Taking this into account, it is roomy for 1 and cosy but usable for 2 (I am 6 foot). But 3 people is only if you're putting 3 kids in there. It came with everything needed to set it up, no rust issues and can be set up by one person - although it will take a couple of times to get it perfect (as does anything worth doing.) It can also be a bit tricky getting it back into the included carry bag.

I have used it in torrential rain and heavy wind multiple times and had no issues with rain getting in. Some condensation due to humidity but nothing to do with the rain and improved as described above. This is a solid rain proof tent for one or two adults.

Great tent - but every time I use it, moisture on the inside of the roof is a problem! – Used about five times since buying it. Rained once and found it awful at keeping rain out. Where the fly touches the inner tent. Then, moisture on the roof under normal use. Tired different ways of opening the vents to help prevent but can’t seem to stop it. Great tent and I’m annoyed it doesn’t really do it’s job! There’s nothing worse than a wet tent on the inside!

Purchased in for $232.

Nice idea - until it rains – This tent is a nice size and it is really quick to put up. I like the lower height, which hopefully will help in windy camping on the coast. The tent fly rests right on to the inner, and as has always been the way with tents, that allows rain to seep through the fly to the inner tent. The inner is also waterproof so doesn’t automatically let moisture into the tent (unless you touch the wet part of the roof, which you can see in the photo). Water sits on the inner and then sheets down the inside of the fly door, so you will most likely get a wet back as you get in or out of the tent. You also have to keep the inner’s door flaps zipped up to avoid the drips from the fly. Some parts of the inner are padded around the poles (which are permanently attached) and once wet they take longer to dry.

The Swagger works more like a single skin tent than a double and anyone who camps with kids knows that there are big advantages to keeping some separation between the kid and a wet fly. The Swagger was to replace an ancient dome tent, but the dome keeps the fly separated from the inner so still does a better job in the rain. Staying dry is more important than quick set up, so the Swagger is a fail for me.

One of the poles was also rusty straight out of the box, but the rust wiped off fairly easily.
