Comminsure, seriously your response to explain why you are charging $600 a year more than other insurer. But your stance on not reviewing it is disgusting .25 years we will not renew, your bank is holding people to ransom. Our one claim we made, you… Read more
ducked and weaved ,even bringing your own so called experts. Lucky there is an ombudsman, otherwise customers are only there to add to your billions of greedy profit.
Follow-up · People, you definitely have to not let insurers renew your policies. It's an excuse to add a few more hundred dollars to your premium. Like me,no claims were made, but still the increase. Commonwealth Bank insurance are not worried about me...BUT if a few thousand of me's decided to cancel. TIME TO WAKE UP
Comminsure and Hollard Holdings – I've been waiting 113 business days (October 2022 to March 2023) for Comminsure now Hollard Insurance to process my claim. The only correspondence I've had from them was after 4 months when they sent an email that read, "we are not yet able to make a decision on your claim. We will continue to assess your claim and will keep you updated every 20… Read more
business days".
They haven't approved the claim yet, nor have they bothered to keep me updated "every 20 business days".
I've lost confidence in this company and will most likely seek a more professional company to handle my insurance needs in the future.
My advice would be to give Comminsure a miss (Now trading as Hollard Insurance because Comminsure got such a bad name in the market place), and go elsewhere.
Worst claim experience 5 months no results—-claim 001597773 – I got my MacBook damaged and did the claim providing all documents asked by CommInsure. It’s 5 months now and still CommInsure didn’t settled the claim. Worst insurance company. Don’t trust this company Show details
You can be a victim of a scam – After I completed the application form in 2010, the financial adviser of CommInsure falsified the information about my smoking habits, medical conditions, family medical conditions, used an old name of mine The key to why [name removed] did commit the forgery in my 2010 life insurance policy document lies within the documents supplied to me by D.… Read more
B. of CommInsure in relation to the change of name request made by me to CommInsure in March 2012. After I completed the true and genuine sections of the application form in my own handwriting, with my own tick marks, and my own signatures which included those related to habits, family medical history and personal medical history (as it has been almost ten years ago since I completed the form and I do suffer from memory loss problem as a result of a medical condition called “Shrinkage of the Right Hippocampus in the brain” and a medical report can be submitted to prove that), [name removed] was faced with several dilemmas which were: 1- The quotation was already prepared on 22 April 2019 and printed on 29 April 2019 which is the date the application form was signed.
The quotation was based on a profession of “Administration Manager” perhaps due to the limitation of professions available in the computer system of CommInsure/Commonwealth Bank or because this kind of profession comes with minimum risks which will guarantee the approval of the application.
It was also based on an income of $100,000 which is another factor which will guarantee the approval of the application based on the CommInsure/Commonwealth Bank system guidelines and criteria for application approval for the amount of the insurance policy which was $348,000 on Life and $34,800 on Trauma.
My true profession should have been Safety Engineer or Safety Consultant as shown on page 13 of 44 of the application form with and income of $90,000.
This profession and associated income come with a higher potential of further investigation by the underwriter to assess the risks and dangers associated with working in the field in the Energy Sector.
The quotation was also based on a non-smoker and zero-alcohol consumption status which are false information and contradict my true answers to these questions on page 16 of 44 of the application form.
My declaration that I was a smoker and given the age of 49, may have led to request for a medical test or to a very high potential of rejection of the application form.
Those answers have been altered by [name removed]. to guarantee the approval of the application on the spot.
2- The true answers I have given on habits, family medical history and personal medical conditions would have guaranteed the rejection of the application.
My answers to such questions would have been in-line with the reports to be supplied by my GP under the medical authority I truly signed on in the application form.
I wouldn’t have risked being charged with Insurance Fraud which would have haunted me for the rest of my life in this country or at least get blacklisted by all the insurance and credit companies in Australia.
This is something [name removed] was not willing to accept... A waste of his time, commission and sales targets.
Consequently, he removed the pages with my true answers to habits, family medical history and personal medical conditions and attached pages with his own answers to those questions.
He was aware by doing so will guarantee that the incompetent underwriter of CommInsure/Commonwealth Bank will not be triggered to use the medical authority.
I think that the underwriter was incompetent or a conspirator with [name removed] because the age, weight and height factor should have raised a red flag for any professional and competent underwriter even in the most primitive countries in the world.
3- The biggest problem that [name removed]. faced is that I signed, dated and used my own handwriting to complete the application form (please refer to the beneficiaries page of the application form which [name removed] neglected to omit under the name of [name removed] which was my legal name since 12 January 2010.
When [name removed] went back to his office to lodge the application form on the CommInsure/Commonwealth Bank system, even with his forgery in the medical questions, it got rejected because the name [name removed]is not the name associated with savings or home loan accounts which were still under the name of [name removed]
The application form was signed on 29 April 2010 with only 1 day left in the month of April to contact me, ask me to change my name on the Commonwealth accounts and get the request approved.
[name removed] took the liberty of re-creating the whole application form from scratch by using his own handwriting to write my own old name (which matches the name on the Commonwealth Bank system), date of signature and to tick all the boxes to the medical questions with the same pen (which can be proven by a forensic expert if CommInsure/Commonwealth accepts to present the original application form not the scanned copy) and even imitate (forge) my signatures.
As far as [name removed] was concerned, he had to meet his sales targets and commissions for the month of April 2010 and nothing was going to stop in his way even if he commits the crime of forgery. This is a typical theory of behavior was based on the principle of: The End Results Justify the Means.
Simply stated, for the last 10 years, I have been paying for a policy that doesn't pay... You can be a victim as me.
Total Care Trauma Insurance - CommInsure – I know insurance companies get a bad rap at times and Trauma Insurance is something we all hope we never ever use, but, after recently having a kidney removed through cancer, I found the claims process through CommInsure (Total Care Trauma) flawless. Lots of paperwork (which, I guess is understandable) but claim was settled and paid within 3… Read more
weeks. I cannot be critical at all. Prompt replies by email and staff were very helpful and met timelines as promised. Right along the entire chain of communication call centre, claims officer, manager, I cannot fault them.
LACK OF COMPASSION – CommInsure has to be the most cold hearted and insensitive insurance company I have ever dealt with. The CEO of the Commonwealth Bank and CEO of Comminsure -you can look up their names-are seriously out of touch with sick people who need to pay their bills. They have totally destroyed my life. But I will be fighting them tooth and nail, until I receive my payments that I am entitled to. Show details
New Standard for Incompetence – Every year when I receive my renewal notices, there will be at least one mistake. One year I received 12 copies of the renewal notices for 4 policies. Every year I receive my renewal notices, every year I make my usual call to the Call Centre, every year I make a complaint, every year they apologise and agree to advise their supervisor, and then every year there is another mistake. Incompetence has a new standard and it is Comminsure. Show details
Receiving someone elses mail 5 times even after returning mail twice and 3 separate phone calls advi – NO one took responsibility to implement changes. Out of community service I needed to advise CommInsure this person never lived at this address and his insurance was probably in jeopardy as we were receiving his mail. Poor bloke assuming he had life insurance, unaware his policy was expiring. This happened 5 times over a period of 6 months! I… Read more
returned the mail twice and rang the next 3 separate times to advise CommInsure. Each time I was told it must be a computer error and it would be sorted out. NEVR HAPPENED. Lets hope the problem is fixed, I don't receive anymore of his mail and he is aware his insurance expired!
Excellent – Perfect service. It was easy to fill in the paperwork and the benefits paid were exactly as stated in the easy-to-understeand policy. No runaround. Easy to claim straight forward process. My claim was paid in less than a month. The benefits were exactly as stated. No runaround. none. (It would be great if it were cheaper, but I believe you get what you pay for and I'm happy to pay for this service.)
