VerifiedSo I have done a reset and all cameras are on but It wont record it. The light on the box stays on and there is a clicking siund that happens every minute ot so?
This problem is not good as folllows. The Blue light indicates that recording is trying to take place.. If there is a clicking sound as well, that indicates that the hard drive mechanism is trying to locate the start or end of the recorded data tracks. Is your system very old? is it out of warranty from CONCORD.
Has the unit been dropped or sufferred a hard blow to maybe physically damage the internal Hard drive mechanism?? If its a really old unit it may simply be worn out. Maybe CONCORD are now using an elecronic Hard Drive where there is no moving parts involved, The new models are called SSD, Solid state Drive. You need a new Hard Drive by the sound of things. So you have a bit of research to do to cheeck your warranty and or get specialised computer help from a local Computer GuRu to help to test your HDD or replace with a relacement SSD.. To answer correctly I neeed to know the folowing please:- 1/ How many cameras have you connected??? 2/ Is it all cameras that wont record? 3/ Have you tried a master reset of the Concord system?

Ive got 5 connected and none of them are recording. We have done a reset still nothing changes…?

I have CDK4242p-A two camera system. Cameras are showing as CH1 and then after 5 seconds switching to CH2 and repeating endlessly. With picture in full screen I'm unable to access any menu features at bottom screen. Help !!!!!
Hey Bruce, Double click in the fulll screen display which reduces your view to show all camers in operation. and then move your curser to the lower laft hand corner of the screen then right click and a message box will open so you can make a choice on what you want to look at.
I am using the concord system to monitor my dog runs not for security. any way of using the system without having to constantly type in password?

Hi i bought new house and concord Model CDK4242P-A it is already installed in house by older house owner. How can i connect that cameras with wifi and my phone. I have no DVR user name and password. They are connected to electricity , At night i can see cameras lights on. How i can get password
Well there is good news and that is you have power to the cameras... I suggest that you get someone to move around in front of the cameras and you look at the front panel to see if there is a blue light flashing. That means that the system has recognized that person's movement and is recording so that's good. To gain access to the system without the main password is a bit trying cky as the security is to prevent unauthorized personnel gaining access to the systems recorded content. When you access the search field there will be presented a fill in box for the pass word.. underneath that will be a message saying "forgot password" click on that and report back what comes up please ?? It all depends on how the system was set up at the start. Pity you can't ask the old owner. Good luck
App is constantly offline. So annoying when I get a notification but can't access the camera.
Is there internet connected to the Concord alarm system??? And has your phone been set up to receive messages from the Concord system ????
System is hard wired to the Internet and yes phone is set up to receive messages.
I can't unlock my dvr forgot the pass word it's been years since I've used it is there a way to factory reset it to defolt please can someone help me out it's the concord CDK4242P-A
IIRC, under the rear USB port there used to be a small circular hole, the reset button was in behind there.
How do I get notifications to work on my phone when motion is detected?

Concord 4 Channel HD DVR Package - 4x1080p PIR Bullet Cameras My Security System is no picking up PIR on one camera of a Night and only picks up in daylight. The other 3 work fine in darkness and in light. The PIR function sometimes Greys out in the settings menu and can't be accessed to change or enable it. Does this mean that this camera is faulty.
Hi there.. on the rear of the main unit there is a panel with white cables going out to each camera. Find the cable that goes to your suspect camera unplug it and swap it with one of the known good cameras. If the fault is still there then that camera port has a user software setting wrong. But if the fault goes over to the new outlet on the rear panel then the camera is faulty. You can use the master reset command which is in your user manual. Happy days to you.

No. Each camera needs to connect to a recorder, or a POE network hub and from that to the recorder.
Why can I not see live cameras on my phone, I have all the boxes showing play button & channels but when push it it doesn't connect. Shows I'm connected & can see videos but not live viewing
My camera displays are now all showing channels as A-Ch1-8 instead of just Ch1-8. Does anybody know why?
Brought a 8 ch ip system and it came with 6 cameras. Want to add two more cameras so went back to jcars to get extra cameras was sold a 4K camera so I thought I would give it a go before I bought the second camera. Connected it up and you get a message saying insufficient bandwidth changed all the cameras resolutions and still no good,went back to jcars and they were no help whatsoever.would not recommend buying anything from them no backup
IIRC, they have a 4K recorder, or a HD recorder. Sounds like you're trying to use a 4K camera with a HD recorder. Did you change resolution in the camera or in the recorder?

Hi i had this problem i found that the fix was delete the Camera of app and then reload as a new camera. My Camera has a solar panel to keep it charged and it had been cloudy for some days and the battery went flat i think that's why if fell offline . The solar panel must face to the sky to work correctly . I charged back up through computer usb then reinstalled camera and outside . All working good again after deleting camera off app and reinstalling camera in app.

have just spent all morning trying to sort this out think ive got it you must create another user account on the main unit first setup/system/multi user once you have set up the admin you then set up new user and password which gets authorised by the admin password and when you install the app on your phone you then enter this username and password. to add another person in houses phone will be same thing will have to create another user via the main unit. hope this helps
