I have a CM12W and it has a light on that looks like water with droplets coming out of it in the right hand corner of the display just above the fan icon. The unit starts and then cuts out and this light flashes and beeps. There is definitely no water in it.

Hi our CM12W airconditioner will only run in the cooling mode for approximately 2 minutes before switching to just fan & it is quite warm.

Any suggestions as to what the problem could be & how to fix it?

Cheers

clean all filters. your unit may need re-gassing

Hi. we just got a Climate Master 12 RCS given to us, its hardly been used. but when i try and use the cooling the fan at the back which connects to the hose and window part doesnt kick in and after 10 minutes or so starts beeping and displays E on the panel. pleeeease help me? its sooo HOT. TIA :)

I would suggest you check that the water reservoir is not full, I keep mine on a slight tilt with the cap off and a bucket under to drain it. get your temp chosen, start at 25, then use the buttons or remote to have no temp showing, this generally means it is dehumidifying as well. like any air con clean your filters regularly, I have found a brush for oil in cooking does the trick well.

The 'E' is an error message probably that it needs emptying, I would add photo's but not able here..

hi cath, my climatemaster is refridgent not water. is yours the same. mine has the dials on the top. i run mine on low fan set temp at 17. then i switch mine to automatic. make sure the filters are always clean and i have connected a sml piece of garden hose to the drain plug which works well. make sure your drain plug at the back has been removed. this allows the water to drain itself all the time. good luck

How noisy is the convair climatemaster CM12W?

PhytaBee

No more than any air conditioners I have been around, at times almost comforting to know it is operating. When the compressor kicks in or drops back it can be a bit of a clunk type sound but, then I have been using mine for almost three years in Queensland semi coastal temps.

My main advice is to ensure it is vented properly and you get a drainage system setup as well, mine sits on an old bench with a bucket under to prevent shut down when the dehumidifier fills up, yet to find an alternative.
