Coolzy-Go Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhat other brands remotes will work with this unit . Remote is lost
Hi, we're not sure about other brands but you can buy spare remotes from us. If you're in Australia, here is the link external link
Hi, do I have to have the remote to use the Coolzy pro? Will it still get cold by just plugging it in? Thanks!
If you have the Coolzy-Pro you'll need the remote. If it gets lost, never fear, as we have spares available through our website.
Does this product leak condensation? Does it have a collection tray for condensation?
Hi, we have a condensation trap inside the machine. It reuses the water to improve the cooling. If it ever overflows, we have a second water catcher that will catch the water. IF it ever fills, the machine will turn-off and wait for you to empty it. We've only ever managed to get the water catcher to fill when we used the machine in far north Queensland on a very hot steamy day, in the mountains. We haven't heard of any reports of the humidity being high enough anywhere else in the country to require the water trap to be emptied :)
Thanks for your help.
can i ask if iii can transport this unit on its side. even just for a few hours?
Thanks,
Greg
Best to ask the manufacturer, just email them.
Hi Greg, T
Thanks for the question. You can indeed transport a Coolzy on it's side however we ask that you stand the Coolzy upright for around 24hrs prior to turning it on again. This gives the gases inside time to settle.
Hope that helps :)
Thanks so much.
Any gas needs to fill, cleaning, removable of water? What is the tent for?
Hi Irene, no you never need to refill the gas inside the machine. It is completely sealed and won't escape.
The tent is to trap the cool air over the bed. It's an optional item. Most folks just use the Long Tail instead.
Hello, I've just acquired one of these and it's not working- all power seems to be working but there's a been flashing light in the power symbol
Get back to the manufacturer (website coolzy.com), they're very helpful. If its faulty they'll likely replace it. You know you first turn it on & set temperature (best at the minimum, 17degrees) with the remote and thereafter you can turn it on by lifting the front and back 'lids'. The booklet said leave it upright 12 hours or so after delivery before turning it on.
Hi Salad, we're always happy to help! It sounds like your Coolzy is in safety mode after experiencing a power surge. Our units do this to protect the internal electronics from unexpected changed in voltage. Just flick us an email at contact@coolzy.com and we'll be sure to sort it out. It's pretty easy to reset the machine :) so we can talk you through it over the phone.
We travel in a small avan and have a Honda 1kva generator originally bought to just keep the battery charged. Would it run a coolly?
Sure will :) In fact, a 1 kw (1000 watts) generator would almost be able to run 3 of our units simultaneously! that's how little power our units consume. Regarding your question about a van, here's a vid that might answer your question: external link
COOLZY EASY FOCUS PORTABLE AIR COOLER states that you can switch between cooling and just the fan. Does anyone know how to switch it? The green power light on mine flashes all the time.
Just toggle the "func" button on the top left of the remote control. It'll change the display from a snow flake to a typhoon on the screen! haha yes, we know a typhoon might've been optimistic haha but it does work as a fan :)

If in a campervan how much battery power will the AC use over an 8 hour night?
Hi Lynn, for 8 hours, you will need roughly between 200 - 220Ah usable battery capacity. Please take other factors into account, such as the battery type and depth of discharge, inverter efficiency and your other electrical appliances. Please let me know if you have any further question.Thank you!
Hi guys, we have tried using it in our campervan but, despite pointing the outlet to an open window, the hot air stayed inside the van and we ended up really sticky. Any suggestions to successfully get the hot air out of the van? Thanks, Cora
Try using a block-out curtain and put it in between the flaps
Hi Cora, This depends on the van and the location of the windows but don't stress, once you know the principles, sorting out the issue will be easy. The premise of our product is that hot air rises so our unit operates best when a window (or more than one) is open. This allows the hot air to escape. To ensure that you don't feel the hot air while in use, point the cooling outlet at you. The idea is to create a small micro-climate within your van of cool air that is in the space that you are occupying. Then, the hot air will rise (and escape via the open window) and you'll be chilled in your cool zone.
During product development we used a Jayco Freedom 16' caravan and kept the windows open on either side of the van. The cooling duct was focused on the bed and we slept like babies :)
Hope that helps!
Thanks guys, we'll try opening two windows.
Hi Cora, we recently released the Long Tail. Our records show that it's becoming pretty popular with caravaners. Give it a try and it might help :)
Hi guys, my husband made exactly that a few months ago and it works a treat!
Great :)
How many degrees can be reduced on a typical hot day running this unit in a small area say 4 sq metres?
Hi Gag, thank you for your enquiry. Our unit will not cool a space regardless of its size, unless you choose to use our Igloo tent. When using the Igloo tent, the temperature inside the tent is about 10 -15 degrees lower than the ambient. When the unit is used in an open space, the temperature of the cool air is always about 10 - 12 degrees lower than the room temperature at medium fan speed. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
how loud is this unit? is it suitable for a bedroom at night?
Not suitable if you are a lighter sleeper! I find it too noisy, especially if you run the fan on high speed any time, my trusty old fan is much quieter even on high speed.
Hi Kim, thanks for your enquiry. The noise level is 47-54 dB. Minimum: about 47 dB (bedroom, AC unit at end of the bed, low fan speed on the COOL FOCUS model). Maximum: about 54 dB (COOL FOCUS model, high fan speed setting) same as an electric desk fan on high speed. Please let us know if you have any further questions!
What is your delivery time frame to Sunshine Coast for Cool Focus.
Please allow 2-3 days as the Covid situation is negatively effecting delivery schedules.
How can I log in my account please?
I want to buy the air con as you advertised
Hi Pousea, see our response above to your previous enquiry.
We have two 11 sq. m. Bedrooms in Hervey Bay. Average temperature is 30 deg C. We have tried air coolers but they are hopeless. What temperature drop would you expect with your unit in this area? Many thanks John Wilkie svkatfish@gmail.com
It will cool you if sitting/lying within one metre but will not cool the room as unit expels some heat equivalent to a few human bodies worth of warmth. With the bedtent definitely cool for sleeping.
John, as RoM stated, our units are designed for cooling people rather than rooms. The refrigerated air flow will easily cool two people in a bed as it creates a microclimate around you rather than spending all its energy trying to cool the walls of the room first. Also, because they are not evaporative, you don't have to worry about the unit running out of water halfway through the night and losing its cooling impact.
The units' thermostat ranges from 17-30 degrees on the Cool Focus unit (with a remote control that can also enable speed adjustment and switching functionality between air con and fan operation). The Easy Focus unit is pre-set to 17 degrees and medium speed. Needing no installation, you can just open it and go.
where can you purchase these so you can can see them?
You will be able to find the list of retailers on our website right here external link
Can these run for 24hrs a day? The heat is best used with a long tail to remove from the room otherwise will the room heat up?
Has it a thermostat to turn on n off due to the heat in the room?
Thanks
Hi :) 1. Can it run for 24hrs a day? yes 2. Is the Long Tail the best way to remove heat from the room? yes 3. Has the unit got a thermostat? yes, it has two. One in the remote to measure the cool air and one inside the machine to turn it off in the event of overheating.
