Cosori

After a couple of years of using a relatively low cost Philips air fryer on an almost daily basis we decided to purchase a higher quality product. After a fair bit of research we decided on the Cosori Dual Blaze 6.4Ltr Smart Air Fryer Model CAF-P583S-KUK which we purchased in July 2023 at a not insignificant $379 from an Ebay seller. Last week… Read more
after the air fryer lost a number of button functions on the control panel, including and importantly, this stopped me from adjusting the temp and time basically rendering it useless. Since this is within the warranty period, I contacted the ebay shop where we purchased the product and they did not reply and I suspect have since ceased trading as they have no current listings.
I therefore contacted Cosori in Australia who advised by email (another company with no human contact such as a phone number)! "Because you purchased it from eBay, we cannot process the warranty for you directly. You need to contact eBay directly for warranty assistance. Thank you again for your understanding!" - No sorry - I dont understand as ultimately as the manufacturer you should be able to assist in this situation.
Separately via my partners name, I contacted Cosori Australia via the on-line message function requesting what was the availability of a replacement control panel for this product - I have never received a reply!
My next port of call was the head office overseas "customer support" and received this reply:
"Hi there, Thank you for reaching out to us, Unfortunately, the control panel parts for this air fryer are unavailable. Be Aware of Unauthorized Dealers or Sellers. Kindly noted that our limited warranty does not extend to products purchased from unauthorized dealers or sellers. Thank you in advance for your understanding."
So no warranty support from Cosori on this issue and no parts or repair support at all for what is a very expensive product in this category!
Now let me draw you attention to a very important part of this reply - "Unfortunately, the control panel parts for this air fryer are unavailable" - That's right - a product just over 1.5 years old and they have no parts to support a quite expensive product. My intention was to fix this at my own cost if necessary but I cant get it fixed because the manufacturer does not support their product beyond the warranty period AT ALL! So if this had failed after July I would have to throw it away in any case.
I would have expected a company purveying a high end expensive product to have a far better environmental consciousness and support their product through a manufacturers warranty and more more importantly with repair parts availability for at least 5 years - making their products sustainable. Here is a classic example of the inability of a customer to have "the right to repair".
My recommendation is obviously not to purchase any products from Cosori as they have extremely poor customer support and no support for any period for parts. They are a throw away company and more importantly very bad value for money!
