Shocking Customer Service – Cowlings R and R Carpets promised to install on time and to complete the job professionally. This was a complete and utter misrepresentation. vinyl. And they couldn't even do that. We paid over $2000 and for that kind of money we expect quality or at least the courtesy of letting us know if they couldn't meet the time frame anymore. No. We called and only got excuses, both from the manager, the people who took the call, and the man who managed our order (we won't name these people). They all kept passing the blame as to why the job wasn't completed as promised. On top of that they decided to claim that this extended time was discussed before hand and blamed us for forgetting this. They assured us it would be done early the next day and we gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them one more day to finish the job. They broke their promise as well. Once again we had to call and seek an explanation because again no one told us that they still hadn't managed to come in and complete the job. This time the excuse was the installer hadn't had time because his helper was busy. What a load of bull. Cowlings R and R carpets should have had the decency to call and apologise and communicate properly with their own staff!!! Not once did we receive any hint of an apology, only anger. When we mentioned the poor quality of the job and lack of respect all we got were sarcastic and rude emails. Please do not go through the ordeal we did. This is not the only company that sells carpet. It is disheartening to think they are discriminating against us because we spoke out and let them know that their performance was not acceptable. There are better companies who value locals and their customers so much more. We won't be making the same mistake again.
