Unprofessional and not transparent! – My experience of viewing a rental property with Silke from Cramer property was unprofessional to say the least. The first inspection I turned up to on a Saturday was a waste of time as the agent couldn’t get access to the unit due to a key issue. You’d think being able to get into a property to show it would be a basic requirement that they might… Read more

want to check first. The second time for a viewing was a few days later and Silke seemed unimpressed she even hadn’t to be there to be honest. At one point she even flicked her wrist to look at her watch and seemed annoyed that we wanted to see where the parking spots were. Now I understand why she didn’t want to be there, a few hours later I saw that the unit had a deposit already taken on it. I asked Silke straight up at the viewing if we had a chance of getting the unit and if our application was up to scratch and she reassured me that nothing would get done the day before Easter Friday and she would have to go through them all. Utter rubbish, she already had someone lined up for the unit and reshowing the property was obviously just a formality that had to be upheld due to Saturdays screw up. What a waste of time, she knew it was already going to someone else, hence the flicking of the wrist to look at her watch and her whole demeanour, completely unprofessional, even the building manager commented how rushed she was and asked my husband shouldn’t she be showing you the pool?? Her lack of professionalism would put me off buying selling or renting from Cramer property full stop if that’s how their agents behave.

Service was excellent and the rental property was as it was described – I would like to thank Cramer Property 302 Victoria st Darlinghurst NSW and especially my managing agent Juliet M For all the help over the time I rented a property with a company. Every inquiry was dealt with professionally and quickly. And nothing ever seem to be too much trouble. Although I am moving out, I felt that it was necessary to give my… Read more

Avoid Cramer Property Darlinghurst like the plague!!!! – I moved into a flat i was renting through them and it was absolutley fllthy. However because i had my removal men there with me i had to just simply clean it and move in. Not nice having to clean up sticky brown muck off of the blinds / hair and dust out of the kitchen drawers / mould all around the shower / scrub carpets. After i'd moved in… Read more

to the flat they then tell me they need the bathroom for 10-12 days to fix something up that they told me initially would take no time at all. I asked them to put me up in a reasonablly priced hotel. They refused. They offered to give me a refund for 2 weeks rent, however even the cheapest hotel would cost at least double that for a 10-12 day stay.

So i found a new place to live and asked them to negotiate with my breaking the lease due to the problems we were having with the bathroom. They refused. They said they would reduce the break clause from 6 weeks rent to 4 weeks rent to let me out of my contract. I once again asked them to negotiate considering the costs i was going to have to incur moving again. They refused and then threatened to take me to court.

Now i have moved (having paid them the 4 weeks rent to break the clause). I cleaned up the flat to a much better state it was left for me in and they have sent me an email today reeling off a long list of problems with my cleaning and are attempting to charge me. I am horrified.

The way these people treat their customers is absolutely disgraceful. Do not deal with these people if you can avoid it. If you cannot avoid it take every step you can to protect yourself. Take photos of everything youi arent happy with and complain to them immediately. They are completely incapable of any type of negotiation or seeing anything from the tenants point of view. They are 100% doing what is best for them, not what is best for customers & tenants. Do not expect any sort of intelligent response from any of them, that clearly is not how they train their staff. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!!!

EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Never rent your apartment through Cramer – We had a most unfortunate experience with Cramer Property. Within one week the toilet blocked. On a Saturday afternoon. The emergency number went to message bank. I then called a plumber as we could not use the toilet. I was advised again to call the agent. Several calls with no reply. Sunday morning still no reply. (we had to use my Mums… Read more

bathroom who thnk goodness was close by!)

finally the concierge from down stairs calls me to ask if he can check if my toilet is really blocked as requested from the rental manager as she didn't believe me!

Six months later with other problems needing attention ( problems with oven, stove), we have found a place to buy.

Now it is time to move.

Having spent $500 on a painter to repaint walls ( we had small hooks put in) and 2 professional cleaners for 2 hours, [name removed] ran her fingers along the inside edge of the blind and stated it was filthy thereby showing we had "no care for the property". She stated her cleaner was coming back to clean it properly for a further $150 and her painter for a further $1900!

There were also 3 leaves which had blown onto the terrace which he asked us to pick up!

Petty you are wondering? Nothing better to do with her time?

We had the concierge of the apartment block come up who said it was one of the best presented post tenant apartments he had seen!

[name removed] obviously has no power base other than her title.

Beware anyone who is considering renting from Cramer Real Estate agents.

Rude and vindictive people
