Fantastic help renovating flat in preparation for leasing then finding a tenant – MICM were really great in discussing and identifying work to be done to a flat in Southbank to get it ready for leasing. They then organised different Tradies to carry out the work at very short notice. Good management team – Without their professional services, I won’t enjoy the stay with their properties at all. Really appreciate their management teams and concierges team. happy to show my apartment to prospective tenants while the apartment was being cleaned as a “pre vacate inspection” (never heard of this before in my life but ok).
I then heard absolutely nothing back from my agent for a week, called her and was told that they were working on it and they would get back to me shortly. 2 weeks after handing my keys back, no response so I decided to call my agent, [Name Removed], who told me she didn’t have time to inspect as she had covid which is fair enough, but at least keep me in the loop? She told me they were working on it and when I pointed out that I got the same response 2 weeks ago, she got incredibly rude. I then said that I was considering filing with the RTBA at this point, and she threatened to reject the claim if it came that way. I asked for a proper time frame, and she snapped that she would get back to me and to not call her until Thursday and then hung up on me.
That must have set her off, because within the hour, she had miraculously completed the inspection and was trying to charge me over 300 bucks for damage. Damage which was clearly in the entry inspection report, that I submitted a year ago. I took screenshots, sent them to her and she then changed her tune to 170. The remaining damage? Scuff marks and marks which I literally can’t even identify which are 100% considered fair wear and tear under the tenancy act.
I asked if I could get the place cleaned again with the bond back guarantee. “Sorry, we’ve rented the unit out and there’s someone already living in it, that’s why you should have used the (overpriced) cleaners we suggested”. I said ok because I couldn’t afford to chase it further.
Honestly, I’ve rented for 6 years and I’ve never met an agent or agency as unethical and greedy as Angie and MICM. Incredibly unresponsive, rude, unprofessional and they leave you with absolutely no options but to say ok to their ridiculous demands.
If you’re considering renting with this agency, take 1000 pictures upon entry of every single speck of dust and be prepared to struggle trying to get your bond back.

agents not being done properly, (not my problem, as I was paying good money for a service that was not being delivered, in line with a signed management contract. The only shining light was a new MICM agent, that was allocated to my account, who was responsive and arranged for the inspection to be completed promptly, thereafter. Her name was [Name Removed], and if it was not for her involvements, it would have been a 0 start rating.
Follow-up · Tenants were not affected, it was more about the fact I was paying for a service that i wasn't receiving. To this day, I still have not had an apology for MICM Management with no firm explanation overed to the mis-management of my account. Disappointing and concerning for the next sucker that falls for the MICM line, we are the specialists in this area of Melbourne.

we were left in a lurch at a time when COVID had severely impacted the property rental market in Melbourne particularly in the CBD area and surrounds.
After an awful experience with the previous agent, I made sure we seek the best agent by getting help from like a broker company. With their suggestions based on our landlord needs, I interviewed many agents to seek for the right one.
At the outset, when Sarah first contacted me, she was very professional, listened well to my needs and gripes, and comprehensively answered all my questions and concerns. During the interview, she was also empathetic and provided reassurance that they will do a better job as a property manager.
Due to the pandemic, it took 5 months before we could secure a tenant. But during these five months, Sarah has actively updated us along the way, and gave us assistance to best prepare the apartment for the next tenant.
Sarah was always positive and always willing to help which was relief for me and my family given our harrowing experience with previous agents.
I totally recommend dealing with Sarah from MICM when looking for an agent for your investment property.

I then dealt with Devam, who was very responsive and helpful in negotiating the application process.
Lastly, my dealings were with Tad who was always contactable. He spent considerable time answering my enquiries and displayed a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of finalising the rental agreement. It has been very refreshing to have such a great line of customer service.
I feel very fortunate that my son will have someone such as Tad as his property manager contact should he ever have a need.

During my moving out process, Shahan was very efficient and helpful and again considerate with the timing of open inspections to find a new tenant. He ensured the final inspection and bond repayment process was as smooth as possible.

Upon follow up and escalation they will give more empty promises and it's an accident. But they ghost you. Oh they don't do exit inspections and return the bond with damaged property. This agency is all talk and no action.
Useless in Property Management – I would definitely not recommend MICM Property Management Southbank VIC, they do not look after landlord or tenant and couldn't care less if the property is in good working order or if it is falling down around you. their Property Managers are rude (apart from one or two that I found decent and professional) and do not assist you or respond to emails or phone calls. They use substandard trades people for your property.

stark contrast, another local agency did not reply to our initial enquiry or then keep our first appointment! MICM also manage the building we live in and they also do a fantastic job of that.
Jacob Paola at MICM Southbank was excellent to deal with while we rented our apartment. He was always very approachable and he ALWAYS got back to us with our queries.
