If I could rate this business below a 1 star rating I would. DO NOT PURCHASE AND I MEAN DO NOT PURCHASE AN ENGINE FROM THIS BUSINESS. This is children importing motors from a fake warehouse. You pay in full the amount they are asking for the engine ( $5,500 ) they send out the Crate Engine as they call it, totally not the engine you ordered, A 3L motor with a 5L head among other parts that were wrong for the motor. Phone call after phone call they dont answer or return any of your calls. I have sent email after email still no response. I have been without my ute now for over a month because the mechanic CANNOT even get an answer from them. Im not giving up on this I will be taking this further, Department of Fair Trading have been told about this Company and will be investigating, but im not stopping there I will be taking out a small claims against them in court. No matter how many good reviews you read about this Crate Engines Australia Company dont fall there B/S friends always leave good reviews for SCAMMERS.....

Don't do it stay away from this company. Bought a motor in Feb. Engine light came on withing a day. Returned to mechanic. Byron sent a new part. Took two weeks to arrive. Same again. Collected the car and two days later engine light back on. He now does not want to honour warranty stating that contaminated oil was used. We took a sample of the oil when new part was sent as we were informed that damage/ shavings of metal could already be damaging motor. The drama will continue. It's been four months now. They don't answer their phone. They did answer once and promptly hung up.
Do not buy from this Business! Purchased a 1kd motor was faulty, sent me a replacement motor Which turns out was a customer return motor with no pre dispatch report. Second motor is also faulty and after an independent inspection report has taken place which comes back as a incorrectly machined crankshaft, get a response of how do we know the tools were accurate and the environment it was conducted in. They will try and wear you down so you give up on refund, not going to work here as I’ll happily take you to court I won’t stop. This business and all his others all have the same dodgy proceedings stay clear!! And will also be taking him for attempt to commit fraud as he wanted the motor to go for a so called independent inspection at a permantly closed wrecking yard ( his family used to own) and named put down his fathers contact details. Chat GPT is his best friend, which I’m sure his most asked question is how do I get out of paying this!!!
Crate Engines https://crateenginesaustralia.com.au Had to replace my daughters Kia Optima 2012 Engine due to a very common problem with these engines seizing due to from factory metal shavings left inside the crankshaft that weren’t flushed and clean correctly, hence New engine, Crate engines we found on google spoke to Byron very professional in knowledge and had us covered arranged everything on the spot, We are extremely impressed with the quality and service of this company arrived from Queensland to Melbourne in 3days Engine is a Complete Long Engine,will install tomorrow, thank you for your service
