Croydex Eyre Flexi-Fix Toilet Seat
MPN: WL601522H1 review
Bought Croydex Eyre Flexi-Fix Plus soft close toilet seat from Bunnings (RRP $69.90) to go on a Novelli Cara toilet pan (original toilet seat was so complicated to remove for cleaning and eventually broke). Croydex is a UK brand distributed by QEP Australia.
The fitting of the pan brackets was easy however the chrome plastic caps that cover the pan brackets did not initially fully click into place to cover the brackets, which I did not realise. This meant the seat did not properly attach to the brackets which have grooved metal spines for attaching the seat. When I worked out why the seat was not attaching and I pushed the plastic 'chrome' covers down that little extra further, the seat easily clicked on the bracket spines. Be careful when pushing down the caps over the brackets since it is designed to be a tight fit. One of my caps slightly cracked due to me pushing the cap down when it was slightly stuck on the bracket. The supplier has been very good with my customer enquiry and is arranging a replacement cap.
The soft close toilet seat lid and seat work well. The seat looks good. Very, very easy to attach seat to brackets and detach for cleaning etc. Good design. I trust it will last.
The brackets have an adhesive base to stop any movement (bracket designed to keep adhesive base off pan until you are happy with the location on the pan), as well as a bolt and nut through the pan holes. When bolt and nuts tightened to keep seat in place, the brackets come into contact with pan to allow adhesive to also fix the seat in place. Once brackets installed in place they can't be moved.
I have one slight regret, since this is the first time I have installed such a seat with the adhesive brackets, and that is to not line up the toilet seat lid with the front of the pan, but to have a slight overhang of the toilet lid so that the front of the actual seat itself lines up with the front of the pan. I know next time. Some might like the lid in line with the front of the pan (personal choice).
Follow-up · 5 June 2026 1. The adhesive base is still OK but the main attachment is still the bolt and nut through the two pan holes. The adhesion is just to make sure it does not move over time. 2. The crack is a slight crack near the pin holes and is not across the whole cap. I can't see it when the seat is attached to the brackets. 3. Have not got replacement caps yet but they were coming from England I assume. I will follow up now.
