quick to take your money but notoriously slow to refund

this is how strong I feel about my disappointment with cruise 1st, I booked in december 2023 to travel in february shortly after the booking we discovered that my wife has breast cancer and we had to cancel, it took cruise first 3 months, yes 3 months after cancelation to receive our funds which we needed to pay for my wife's drs bills , I have rang several times and they never returned my calls , and finally after deducting their fees , airline fees and cruise line fees we received our fund less $2300 penalties for cancellation. I accept the cancellation fees but do accept the length of time in giving our refund , I feel they were hanging onto our funds and receiving interest. I will never use them again. Show details

Another sucessful cruise booking

We have been using cruise1st for about 10 years, as usual we received excellent customer service , this time with Amy.
They are solid and reliable. I get a lot of travel emails from various cruise companies but cruise 1st are the best .

Don’t use Cruise 1st

MSC cruises cancelled our cruise cause of the war. Bought a package through Cruise 1st. Trip A Deal and Flight Centre gave their customers all their money back. Lost $2253 through Cruise 1st cause they wouldn’t give me all my money back. Bought upgraded flights. I lost $253 cause of the hotel cancellation fee. They refunded another customer the hotel cancellation fee she was doing the same package as me. Don’t know how they work that out didn’t seem fair. Thought I was getting a good deal but ended up being more expensive. Show details

Problem solved quickly

Travelling with my sister and brother in law in 10 days but noticed on the paperwork that we were booked into two different hotels- sent an email querying this and was very happy to receive a swift response/solution. With a little bonus to make up for the error. Show details

Great Service & Great Value

My experience with Cruise1st has been fantastic, Katie Wallace has been great with her communication and prompt with her responses via email and over the phone. Disinterested and disengaged

Excited to head off on a Cunard cruise booked last minute through Cruise1st. Unfortunately the morning before our departure my partner broke his leg. Emailed Cruise1st with no response until I called the day of departure to check that my message had been received.
Blanket no refund and finally offered to send a letter for insurance purposes. Still to receive this letter.
The most galling was a phone call from Cunard Edinburgh to find out if we were boarding! There was obviously no contact made with Cunard which was the point of my follow up.

Although our holiday is not until late 2025, it has been a seamless process getting our Fly/Stay/Cruise Package booked with Jackson Robinson-Taylor. The flight & accommodation details for this trip cannot be confirmed until closer to the time, so I can only hope to report back with the same level of satisfaction I have had to date with the packaging process. Avoid Cruise 1st

We booked a series of cruises in June 2025 with cruise first. We have used them before We have decided to cancel the 2025 trip given a recent experience with Cunard. The wait for a response to our calls 35 minutes. Absolute disinterest as to our concerns and of course a blanket fee of $300 per person on top of the Cunard cancellation costs This is an American Company owned by Royal Caribbean’s management company Total disinterest once the deposit is paid. We left on a 31 night tour/cruise organised by Cruise1st on 3rd March. I had emailed them with my concerns regarding Covid 19 but they did not seem concerned. By day 10, 4 nights into cruise every port we were to go to closed and we decided after emailing Cruise1st to get home asap. Cruise1st emergency email was hopeless and unresponsive. Since then I have tried emailing them - no responses, but did finally get some refund - 27% of what we paid with no break-up of what was given back. Has anyone got a real contact through Cruise1st that I can talk to and get information regarding further refunds and breakup for insurance purposes ?

Hi has anybody tried to obtain a refund from a credit voucher of Westjet airlines issued by cruise 1st, as this airline does not fly to Australia and they are in a code share with Qantas and Qantas doesn't want to know anything and they advised us to contact cruise 1st, waste of time needless to say. Please anybody with this problem? James Quintela

I fully paid for my cruise on 1/01/2020, the cruise was to sail on 25/04/2020 I have been told it would be 12-15 weeks before I received my refund. It is now 15 weeks and I have heard nothing. Can you you update the payment timeline?
