Unit was great for a few weeks then failed. They have now gone silent and are not responding to our requests for a replacement. Very disappointing considering the premium cost of the item.

Faulty product, deceptive review practices, poor service: It was late arriving and has only been used for around 2.5 months. It’s not used more than once a week on average and has already failed. Crumble sought a product review from me and I gave it 3 stars: I cited rusting screws on the basket and staining on the unit. Crumble responded that they would replace the basket but it never arrived. The unit then started intermittently shutting off before the timer was done. Crumble said they would replace the unit. I sent it back and they advised it would be refunded back to me, and then later retracted the refund comment and affirmed it would be a replacement only - a timeframe for which they cannot provide.
Since sending it back, I’ve discovered the rusting screws on the unit have caused stains on my kitchen bench. I also cannot locate my polite and honest review on their website - in hindsight I should have been immediately concerned about possible review gate keeping. I am considering making a complaint about misleading conduct, which is against consumer law in Australia.
Follow-up · The initial fault was the rusting screws, followed by the unit intermittently shutting off. The replacement was sent a couple of days after I confirmed my return had arrived. I requested a refund due to the staining it caused on my bench and they quickly refused and shipped a replacement. After a few weeks they replied to my query about why my three star review on their website isn’t published and offered me $25 for my inconvenience with the fryer. I replied that removing the rust stains from the stone bench required a product that cost $104. I’ve heard nothing since. I don’t know if the new air fryer works - it remains boxed up until we can decide what to do with it.
