Cubot Max

Don't buy this product there is no after sales/ warranty service available – I have bought CUBOT Note Plus on ebay about 2 years ago. It was real valuve for money as it has all the basic features smart phone has. One year later bought another one for my daughter. Less than a year of use phone suddenly died. It was actually the battery so I contacted CUBOT customer service back in January 2019 with response to date. I contacted the seller around same time no response. I am pursuing a full refund through my financial institution now.
Purchased in at eBay for $140.
Great Hardware, terrible Software! – I have a Cubot H1, fast, easily downloads apps and media, no problem writing to and from ext/into...but boy, the Max should be Minus...full of ads, pop-ups and of course Google control freakery as that domineering company takes over the whole IT world. Refuses to accept video downloads, yet other phones do. I personally think Google is blocking apps that are not blessed by them, as their dominance if the markets grow. I shall delete this software and install a pure Linux...my device, not Google's...obviously they want to screw everyone up, so we buy their Pixel like good little boys and girls...NO WAY!

GPS is crap – The phone overall is good, but very very slow. The GPS is useless. I work as Uber driver and it has last me jobs as people cancel because they are told I am in a completely different place. When stationary it jumps from street to street, changing instruction and literally spinning around. Ok if you just want as an occasional use but don't buy if you intend to need it for GPD.
May 15th 2017 Update: Bad gps
I would just like to totally agree with review about crap gps, from another Uber driver. So many cancelled trips because of it. Do not purchase if you really on the g p s. Overall otherwise it's an ok phone. It takes ages to reboot, 5 times as long as any other phone.
