Wall not worth it unless your prepared to modify them – I would have been better making the wall out of clothes line pegs and wet paper. I think the wet paper would hold up better. Darche looks like the thought this up at 3.59 on Friday. Very poor design. Show details
Is good, for a fair weather shelter – Bought this for a month long camping trip. We needed something that was lightweight, easy to setup and would fit in the back of a dual cab ute when collapsed, unlike gazebos which are too long. This shelter ticks all of those boxes and provided us with some good privacy and shade. It isn't particularly waterproof however. We didn't encounter… Read more
anything heavier than light drizzle. We had heavy dew a couple of nights which soaked through the shelter and could be heard dripping on the ground sheet underneath. I don't think this shelter would provide any protection in light to moderate rain. The walls ($39 ea.) are held on with a hook in the top corners and another each side about halfway down along with 3 spots of velcro. The velcro will pop in anything more than a light breeze leaving the wall flapping. I was a bit disappointed that the walls aren't zipped on which would have been more secure. The roof support poles can be a bit hard to collapse sometimes but other than that, it is easy enough to setup and take down with one person in nil wind or two people in a breeze. It provides no protection from insects. This shelter is really only a beach shade (but would be useless without walls). It has the potential to be so much more and to be a really useful, compact, easy to setup all around camping shelter with a few design improvements.
