My second visit to Degani Browns Plains was even worse than the first. I ordered an iced coffee. I was asked if I would like cream and ice cream and said yes to both. it. Both were lovely and toasted on the outside, cut into them and the filling was ice cold - clearly had been frozen! Not a pleasant experience!
Own blend of chai and Coffee terrible. Why can’t they offer small options with salads and the hot food. Not everyone wants to spend $15 on a mediocre salad on their lunch break. Why do you have to buy a banh mi with hot chips just so you can charge an extra $5. Change the menu once in a while. Stale sandwiches.
I have been to a number of Degani restaurants and up until today had nothing but praise, today I had classic fish & chips with salad and I have had this also at other Deganis, when you pressed the fish with your fork of knife oil came out, the chips were also greasy and the tomatoe Slices almost inedible because they were so unripe.
Very disappointed in so called Mammas carrot cake, it was nice but absolutely NOT worth $8.00 plus for the smallest slice I’ve ever been given. You can buy a whole carrot cake from Goldsteins which I think taste better but it’s disappointing when restaurants get greedy. Won’t be going back.
Degani Allenstown a big disappointment – Degani Cafe Allenstown used to have quality food. The staff were lovely as usual today but the quality of the food has decreased in direct opposition to the price increases. The small wrap I just bought was literally inedible and cost $14. I don’t eat takeaway or cafe food often and will be going elsewhere on the rare occasion I do in future.
They will never see me again – I work for Australia Post. I usually have 1 to 2 coffees a day which I almost always get from different Degani coffee shops depending on the area I'm delivering. enjoy and again mostly from Degani. I had accumulated 10 free coffees which I started cashing in lately and the last few times at Degani Benton's square Mornington. The third time I used one of my freebies there, the rude owner paused and looked at me and then reluctantly stamped my freebie card. I was a little taken aback but then thought nothing more of it. Today Oct 29 2024 I went past Degani Benton's square to get my coffee and use my freebie. Both mother and daughter owners, of indian decent questioned me rather rudely of why I have so many freebies and implied that I was dishonest. I was shocked by the attitude and attack and the fact I had to justify my purchase. I maintained my composure and explained to them which they obviously didn't care for and proceeded to make my order which is the same always, extra shot mocha. I received a hot chocolate no coffee in it. Yes you heard right. Absolutely disgusting. Accused of using their policy correctly and being called a thief in different words. It's been a pleasure up until now Mr Degani, but you will never see myself, my family and friends in any of your coffee shops again. Good luck with that attitude sustaining your chain of coffee shops. All the best. George.

my knee sitting by the door. I left. The owner with a grey/white bun (a male) then followed me out and aggressively cut me off on the footpath and he asked are you going to review me. I said yes. He then called me a dirty slag more than once and took my photo. I assume the owner took my photo as an intimidation tactic. I said how dare he call me names like that, he then said if I wrote this review he would hunt me down and make me pay. I had to create another google acct just to hide my identity as this person threatened to hurt me and it scared me. He should have just let me walk away. Aggression towards women is not ok ever and if someone wants to review your business, you cannot threaten them into silence. People like this man shouldn't be dealing with the public or women in general.
Fathers day RUINED!!! – Booked 1 week ahead a table for Fathers Day. we got there 5 minutes before our time and was made to wait for the exact time standing(despite the table empty). FIRSRLY, before handing out the menu we should have been told there is Limited food on the menu OR the least should have been notified that on phone that on Fathers Day menu will be limited!!! My dad only wanted on that day to eat his favourite pizza but on FATHER DAY HE left the venue on empty stomach!!! PATHETIC service!!!! I paid for what was ordered the chicken mushroom and drinks and we left quickly, I managed to find a table on Lygon St and ordered him a pizza he so much wanted!!!(being FATHERS DAY the venue on LYGON ST shouted him A BEER, NOW THATS a welcoming SERVICE!!!) NEVER COMING BACK !!! Despite coming to this degani cafe in northcote for well over 8years......they are becoming greedy(by serving on the menu, meals above a certain quota) and it shows by how they are treating their loyal customers!!!!
Mixed Standards Between Franchises - Be Careful – Degani Greensborough is fantastic and worthy of 5 stars. They recognise regular customers, make great coffee and do their best to ensure hot food/hot drinks can be enjoyed together - and deserve 5 stars. Degani St Helena, however, is another story, and the service is volatile at best. Special requests are met with hostility - 1 star.
Degani’s cafe Loganholme – We booked Deganis for breakfast for a large group of 25. This was not our first visit and once again they were fantastic. They had no issues with a large group and made the extra guests that turned up very welcome. Both drinks and food arrived at our table very quickly. The coffee is always good and the food very nice. Degani’s Loganholme is a great cafe to visit. They staff work hard to make your visit memorable
Lovely staff and beautiful coffee – My regular, love the staff and the coffee is always top notch. There is a reason I keep coming back every morning for my caramel latte. The girls know my order and its made to perfection everyday
Delicious food lovely staff complete treat – Yesterday I had lunch at this cafe and my two companions were equally happy with the food and service. orange and raspberry with almond. Also Yum. Coffe was spot on Our wait staff were so nice. Definitely would go back. Well done!! The cost was $69.90 for three people but totally worth it.
