Not a bad heater. If you're after something that is not really expensive and keeps a large room warm I would recommend this DeLonghi. Show details

Find the best option for your sittuation – This is a 1500w heather that the sales rep says is rated for a 15 meter square room. Using this in a room smaller than 10 meter square, the heater takes up to 30 minutes to warm up, then another 30 minutes to heat up the room. It holds the heat for longer when you turn it off. takes a long time to pre-heat and then keep the heat going. Find a… Read more

second hand heater or buy something better suited for your space.

The digital control panel is very annoying, there is a loud obnoxious beep that cannot be turned off. Every time you press a button it beeps loud enough for everyone in the house to hear.

All in all, after a good hour, this does eventually warm the room. So long as your room is well sealed up and you do not mind remembering to pre-heat the room.

Ok heater but no timer – The heater seems ok but it does not have a timer. You can ask it to turn off in 12 hours manually but something like come on at 6:30 am turn off at 9am is not possible. Amazing for a heater built recently Show details

Nowhere near as good as our 30 year old oil column heater – Wanted to purchase an oil column heater like the one my parents have been happily using for the last 30 years. The only option available to us at my local retailer was the Delonghi Dragon 4 TRD41500ET. I was happy to purchase it, especially as I believe Delonghi to be a reputable brand. Our experience has been disappointing to say in the least -… Read more

the heater makes a 'clicking' noise constantly, not just when heating up or cooling down, but all through the night when turned on, making our sleep very disturbed. Also, the heat only radiates directly out of the top of the heater and due to the protective casing, no heat radiates from the sides of the heater. I recall in my younger years being able to rest/dry/warm up clothes on our old oil column heater and I was hoping for this functionality with our new one too, but I wouldn't dare rest anything on the top of this one as I feel like it would blow the heater up. There is a definite 'smell' that emanates from it too and so overall I wouldn't recommend this heater unfortunately.

Turn off the sound! – The heater is fabulous EXCEPT you can't turn off the sound. I set the timer to turn the unit on an hour before I wake up to heat up my room before I have to get up for work and the beep it makes to indicate it is on is so loud that it wakes me up!! The beep is totally unnecessary and if i had known about it before purchasing I wouldn't have chosen this heater. I would have given this a 5 star if the sound wasn't such an issue. Show details

Good heater, perfect for what us – I purchased for my sons room as his room gets much colder than the rest of the house, & I didn’t want to run the ducted air-con all night. I usually turn it on before I put him to bed and by that time the room is nice and warm. its easy to use and does exactly what it says it does. I don’t use the timer, I run it from bedtime until my son wakes… Read more

up. I like that I can set to a certain temperature without worrying about the room getting too hot as it has a auto shut off If it’s too hot. It was simple to set up, & the oil smell for first time use went away within a few hours. We’ve been using every night since we purchased it and have had no issues with it.

It smells so bad that you get headache in no time – I’m using this heater for the 2nd year. It still smells bad. What a waste of money! I would not recommend it. I followed all the instruction that was mentioned in the catalog. In fact I kept the heater out in open space for 8 hrs to get rid of the smell. It was just waste of electricity. Show details

Definitely does the job! – I have to start with saying that this heater is amazing for what we want it to do. We are using this heater in our baby room that is maybe 10 square meters. Please keep that in mind upon reading this. When we turn on the the heater about 30 minutes in advance, the room will be warm ( we want the room to be around 18 degrees). Usually it will drop… Read more

to around 15 degrees in there during the day in winter.

Funnily enough, when I set the thermostat on the heather to 15 degrees, the room is around 18 degrees all night. This must be because the heather is on the floor and warm air rises up. We have a separate thermometer in the room showing us the actual temperature. When the heather is set to 16 degrees, the room will be around 19 degrees.

On the lowest setting and on ECO mode, this heater barely uses electricity when the room reaches the desired temperature. I have been monitoring it for 2 weeks now, and I can say it's extremely efficient which is what I was looking for.

The heater is quite heavy, so you want to put it somewhere where you are going to leave it and not constantly move it from room to room.

There was a bit of a smell at the start, but after running it for 2 hours at full power ( as per the instructions) that smell disappeared. Can't smell anything at all right now.

Overall I'd say this heater does a wonderful job at keeping the room warm in a quiet and efficient way.

Good but should be better – Bought this heater because sales told me it had a timer. Well it does have a time, but you have to set it every time you use it. Set it for the time delay to turn. Then alternatively set a time to turn off. Neither work together. So, this price unit should have a proper clock timer with daily and weekly programmable settings. Time of day to turn… Read more

on and time to turn off. I have this feature on a Noirot panel heater. Perfect. Good heater but lacks the programming feature.

Bad smell at max power !!! Beware & pls test ! – Pros : nice slim sophisticated design with 7 years warranty. Cons: bad smell at max thermostat setting even after using it beyond the 2 hours period. Used again after turning off still smell even on next day. Who knows if these are toxic for babies ! Please check this !!! Objects and dust can get trapped between the small chimney like tubes. Dangerous! Show details

Quiet and safe heater for our nursery – We have bought 2 of these heaters - one for each nursery and they are great. I love the digital temperature which we use in conjunction with our Groegg to make sure the room is the right temperature in winter. Both kids sleep with it set to 19 degrees on eco and a 2.5 tog sleeping bag and sleep well. Heats up quickly and relatively quiet - it… Read more

does sometimes does a pop and crackle but it's rare. Also it's not as drying as other heaters and it doesn't burn if the kids accidentally touch it.

It is more expensive than other oil heaters but we are hoping that the eco mode which the sales people sold us on actually means our electricity bill isn't too big!

Perfect Oil Heater – It heats really well and really fast. I had one in the kids room which heats really quickly, and in the master bedroom, because it the room size it bit bigger, so it takes around 10 mins to heat up the room. All buttons are digital in this model with temperature display, 3 heating levels, timer and energy saver mode; on the top of that, 7 years warranty. It's really an amazing heater.  Show details

Worth the price – The price was bit of a concern given my student budget. Definitley happy with the product and its functions. Does the job well, no false marketing here. Heating could be tag bit efficient. Design looks fantastic, blends well with the room unlike other bulky heaters. Does the job, dont hesitate to buy one. It gave warmth on a cold night – The first time I used it it seem like it took a long time to heat up the room but after a while I noticed that my room was starting to get warm and a little later too warm so I had to lower the thermostat. But It definitely is nice to have in the room because it is not that noisy.  Show details
