pressure to 'plunge' the coffee, which might make a better extraction... but that comes at the expense of the steeping process that the Aeropress uses. So, what's the coffee like compared to an Aeropress? more consistent, cleaner, smoother (depending on how you use your Aeropress) but not as strong as an Aeropress can be with the same amount of coffee (I'm guessing this is because it doesn't steep before plunging). What's the coffee like compared to other types of coffee machines? if you drink long blacks or black coffee that's other than a pure espresso, this is your thing. If you drink long blacks with a dash of milk, this is also your thing. If you want something milky, you want an espresso machine with a frother.
