My wife and I were up all night because the hotel had a few pre teen soccer teams and it sounded like they were practicing in the hallway, I called the front desk and the manager told me that he would handle everything. Nothing changed, so early the next morning we went to check out at 5am however the manager was not there so on the very next day I called the manager and simply asked him what did you do to handle everything? He told me that he met with a group of kids in the stairway and asked them to stop running. I asked him do you think it would have been better to talk to the parents or an adult? He didn't like my critique of his problem solving skills and hung up. I called his regional manager and she provided me with a full refund back to the third party that I used which was Destinia Travel. I called Destinia Travel and they told me that they didn't receive the refund from LaQuanta, until I provided an email from LaQuints saying something totally different. Destinia Travel has not refunded me my money as of today. I was surprised to learn that Destinia Travel has several complaints from US citizens for failing to return refunds. I would encourage anyone that's considering doing business with Destinia Travel to think twice.
They did their job well!! – I was looking for my booking confirmation everywhere and couldn't find it so I contacted where I was staying in Indonesia and contacted Destinia. The service was excellent! I was worried I was going to lose my money. But the service was great. Show details
Pleasure doing business – Booked a hotel in Thailand based on a fully refundable booking, had to make some date changes wich meant a refund was required, emailed the company explained the details refund was back in my account within 2 less a service fee wich was unstable. I was able to make contact with Destinia by phone and they told me that they have a 'provider' they go through (Hotelbeds.com) and they will make the booking but would not give me any contact details to speak with Hotelbeds. I have been ringing and emailing Destinia for over two months now and the response is always the same. They have said that the hotel is keeping (all) the money as cancellation fee but the hotel has no knowledge of the booking or the money. Destinia says that they don't have the money so this thieving company, Hotelbeds is keeping our money. Don't deal with either of these companies as they will mess up your holiday plans and steal your money. Now when I try to ring them, the message is that the 'User you are trying to reach is unavailable'. I just want a refund of my money.

Failure to provide full refund – Booked accommodation with Destinia early this year on basis that would get a full refund if cancelled before due date. Destina made no attempt to contact the hotel and I was unable to stay as charged given there was no rooms. Instead all Destina wanted to do was book me in somewhere else in the City which wasn't an option Im now going through my bank to have the charges reversed. Don't ever book through this bogus company based in Madrid, they are absolutely no help at all after you click Pay.

Appalling Customer Service – I have been waiting for a refund for 5 months. I have sent email after email with no reply. I wonder if these emails are even looked at?!?! I’m my opinion there is no customer service!!! I truly should not had used this organisation who has held onto my money and made no contact with me to help me resolve this matter. Booking 5076681 Avoid! Added stress in hard times for two nurses in intensive care in London. my flights were cancelled. Outward with British Airways (Destinia paid 734.75 with my debit card) Return with Easy Jet (paid by credit card from Destinia) I was told I had to take vouchers for British Airways. I was then given vouchers by Destinia and on calling British Airways I was told Destinia had given me the wrong ones. British Airways then told me the new voucher numbers but said that Destinia had to book my flights with. I was not allowed due to contractual issues. I have sent an email now to customer services hoping that they can help. Easyjet have refunded the money on Destinia credit card and after telling Destinia bookings this I was told to pay for a return flight and I will be reimbursed once they receive the money from EasyJet. I have asked if they have received the money but no reply.
I am in limbo as I cannot book my new flights with British Airways even though I have given all information needed. I don’t even know if I will get money back for my return.
I understand that this must be a busy time for destinia but I am quite stressed. My wife and are both nurses who work in an intensive care unit in London and have had the most horrific experience. This just adds more stress.
I accepted a new date for the hotel. It now I can’t get there as I can’t use the British airways voucher and if I book a return I’m not sure I will get my money back.

Thank you for you reply. I have sent a return message to you via email. Just to confirm, as you are the third party you will need to book the flights. You DID send me vouchers but they were the wrong ones! I have an email saying this which I have emailed you. I have all emails and evidence that you would do so and that you would return money for a return flight as Easyjet have returned the monies to YOU. I think it is reasonable that book a return flight for me. Yes, accommodation has been changed and I am grateful for that but YOU need to contact British Airways and book my flight using the vouchers. I have sent all relevant information to you.

Misleading advertising of prices, overcharging and disclaiming – At the beginning of my review I would like to note that we fly quite often and hence we are quite experienced in the process of purchasing airline tickets. site, where we entered all the details - at this stage, the specified price updated to 334usd (an addition of 3usd from the original price). We entered our credit card details, while it was noted that additional 7usd will be added due to credit transaction (and a total charge of 341.82usd.) Only after the transaction was charged I received a notification from the credit card company that I was actualy charged by Destinia for a total of 372.42usd - 13% over the original price. Needless to say, I felt deceived and a fool (that I did not choose another agency among those offered to me in SkyScanner - eventually the other agencies were cheaper, and never I had expirienced such a thing ordering through them). I tried to correspond with the company, detailing the sequence of events and adding pictures of the screens of the whole process. The Company resolved itself, noting that the additional charge is for payment on credit (ie, in its opinion, an additional 40usd for the use of a credit card). I find Destinia's conduct throughout the entire process - from misleading advertising of prices, through overcharging to disclaiming, as problematic. From here, I suggest choosing a different and reliable travel agency.

Seamless Bitcoin Purchase – Aslong as you're set up with one of their compatible wallets, I had to setup a Bitpay wallet. The whole process was smooth, painless and prices are rather competitive compared to other Bitcoin accepting sites.
