The ice maker itself was ok and initially we were happy with it. Longevity left a lot to be desired though. We had one replaced under warranty and the next two died just outside warranty. We have now stepped up to a Morphy Richards one that we love.
I purchased this ice machine in January 2024, and it completely stopped working after just four weeks. I contacted customer service, went through all their troubleshooting steps, and they ultimately agreed to replace it under warranty. I received the replacement unit on March 28, 2024. Less than a year later, the exact same issue has happened again—it’s completely stopped working. When I reached out to customer service, I was shocked to be told that my warranty had expired because they count it from the original purchase date, not when I received the replacement. This means that even though my current unit is less than a year old, I am now responsible for a faulty product.
A product of this standard should not fail so quickly twice. Now I’m left with a broken machine and no support. I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else, so I strongly recommend avoiding this brand. Save your money and invest in something more reliable!
Waste of money – I bought the 2L model, has two settings large and small clicked on large, it makes bullet shape ice what it doesn't say is that they are hollow so melt really quickly, takes 15 minutes to produce a small handful of 'bullets' I run it for 1 hour in order to have about a cupful of bullets to store in the freezer, they all stuck together so unusable.

Obviously the machine is designed to keep running all the time as the ice bullets cannot be stored in a fridge freezer, so how much electricity does it use?

It is pointless to contact your customer service, the machine is not faulty it just isn't practical. I contacted Gijam who gave it 5 stars, asking if her ice bullets stuck together she replied: 'Hi Claudine, mine also sticks together as the ice is a bit wet, so I keep mine in a plastic container in the freezer & get the cubes in as quickly as possible as they pop out. When all the batch is in the freezer, I use a metal meat mallet & gently tap each sheet of cubes & when finished I just shake the container & they all stay separated & freeze hard. Hope that helps. Cheers' It is strange that ice cubes made in a tray in the fridge freezer don't stick together when taken out of the tray.

Easy Ice!! – This little ice maker is brilliant, our fridge doesn't keep up with the ice so this compact unit is perfect. You pop the water in the top and turn her on & quite quickly she produces ice cubes of which you can change the size. When the cycle is completed I put the ice into the freezer, so easy!! The only negative is the ice can be a little wet, but not a real issue. All in all a great addition to my kitchen, I'm very happy.
